、ussion10Conclusion13References:15Abstract Currently, water scarcity has become increasingly global, so lots of countries face the shortage of water. The purpose of the research was to find out the cause of the water scarcity in the Colorado in the United States and find a significant way to curb it.

、 The purpose was using secondary research because it is not able to spend time to do primary research. The resources were found online which are written by professional editors because they are reliable to refer in the report. As the result, the water crises is that the Colorado River cannot be able

、 to satisfy the demand increasing of water and it will dry-out if people do not save and protect it in years soon. The thesis statement was achieved which is that there are some solutions are able to solve the unbalance of demand and supply of water. The first approach is conservation. The second wa

Last one is to settle water shortage and capacity which is to store the water as much as possible from nature. Three mentioned approaches should be successful to solve the water issues in Colorado because they a

、re effective to control the increasing trend of prodigal use of extra water and store them for supplying. Also, governments have also been responsible to lead to save the excess water using in agricultural industries, and people save water with good behaviors individually, the usage of water decreas

The effectiveness is that providing that scientists do the primary research, the results and solutions are more obvious and clear because they can exact to do the experiment and make surveys to justify the solution are approximate to solve the water woes in Colorado.Introduc

、tion:The purpose of the research was to find out the cause of the water scarcity in the Colorado in the United States and find a significant way to curb it. In the local biome, it is approximately 70% saltwater found on the earth, but it just contains 3% fresh water. Water is important for human lif

、e because that minority freshwater is stretched for using by 6.7billion people for survive, industry, recreation, and municipal use (Freshwater biological association, 2014). However, one of effects of water scarcity is water chemistry. Water chemistry deals with the fundamental property of chemistr

、y and information about water, and it may influence water scarcity. For instance, iron release is greatly affected by water chemistry including PH, alkalinity, and corrosion inhibitors, and it will affects drinking water and hurt human bodys system (Lytel,D.2010). In the U.S, the water condition of

、seven states that share the basins water from the Wyoming to Colorado, and it causes that Colorados fresh water supplies as 3.2 billion acre-feet within 50 years (Loomis, B, 2012). In the Western Colorado, some farmers like to use the private water which is apply in their own villages, but some alfa

、lfa farmers are not able to use the water supply. Therefore, they announced that it is too hard to feed alfalfa any more. According to the 2012 study detailed in the journal PLOS ONE, 2.7 billion face the water scarcity, which is a crisis that affects the life Colorado (Ghose, T, 2013). The Native A

、merican and some organizations suggest that government should focus on the demand and supply of basins water in Colorado River (Loomis.B, 2012). The Water Woes of Colorado in the U.S is a tentative instance, which is significant for people studying and analyzing the water problem in the global range

、. The thesis statement of the research was that find the solution, which is to save water as much as possible in urban and rural areas, which is unbalance of increasing demand and decreasing supply (Brandon, L, 2012). The water crisis in the United State is not a lost cause and can be solved. Method

、ology: The research is decided to get information about the currently fresh water situation in Colorado, secondary research was deemed the most appropriate method of data collection; the reason is that I do not have enough time to spend to interview professional scientists or make questionnaires in

、public places. In the secondary research, the important process is defining the reliable websites. The scientific websites are containing significant pictures, professional organizations signatures, and accurate written date. Also, it should be written in third person as objective view because the a

、uthors have to write academically without putting in some personal and emotional opinions. First of all, some fresh water issues in Colorado were referenced from the internet because it is significant to perform what the main problem is for the report. Secondly, the current actions, coming from the

、government or state, were noted down and they were analysed with the standard which is identifying the situation and solution of fresh water issues in Colorado. Finally, the result was made up by the basic data and ultimately advanced findings and sectioned and analyzed in the discussion. The data c

、ollection method is secondary research, so I did the research on line. When I researched online, it is a convenient and quick what I really want such like solution for water scarcities and background. Therefore, it addressed my research purpose which finds solution to solve the water scarcities in C

、olorado. Finding: The finding of the report was divided into three parts. First one is explain two key fresh water issues in Colorado, second one is present the solutions of two issues, and last one is define the relative result for thesis statement. The first big issue in the Colorado is that the C

、olorado River is beginning to run dry in place. Because there are 2.2 billion people need fresh water for life and the population rate increase in double from the past, the demand of fresh water is increasing (Darren, L, 2010). Furthermore, hundreds of people who are illegally drawing water from Col

、orado today will be forced to cease pumping soon because there are seven states that share the basins water from the Wyoming to Colorado. Therefore, the water scarcity is concerned in Colorado of population. The second issue is serious that the supply and demand of Colorado River is over-allocated w

、hich means Colorado River cannot bear the demand of seven states demand any more. The water is used in agricultural, industrial system, and governments contract between close territories; in fact, the contract is that loan fresh water to neighbor countries where do not have enough water resources. I

、t causes that Colorado River is not able to satisfy and balance the peoples using. Finally, some scientists claimed that Colorado River will dry out in 2030 (NOGs). The third, government do not collect water from rainwater well so Colorado lose lots of resources for supplying. As a result in Figure

、1, it is obvious to see that the bas use in Colorado was increasing from about 5million units to 15 million unites, but the supply was decreasing to approximately 13 million units. Therefore, as long as the demand of water increases in the country, the supply cannot satisfy it and cause shortage of

、water.(Figure 1) Historical 10-year water using in Colorado River(Source: Nelson, B, (2011), between a rock and dry place-the potential impacts of oil shale development on Colorado River water supplies Online, NRDC available from: /blogs/bnelson/between_a_rock_and_a_dry_pla

、ce.html Accessed on August 18 2011) Individual representatives, scientists, businessman, and non- governmental organizations (NOGs) worked together and gave some suggestions. The first approach is conservation. In 2005, a plan called GreenPrint Denver, improved urban water amount by increasing effic

、iency of business operation which is reduce water use for entertainment and cosmetic treatment such as fountains and decreasing emissions of water which is to recycle water as much as possible (TRILOGY, 2012). This plan reduced water use in city as a million per year, so it is significant to keep ru

、nning to solve the water issue in Colorado. The second way is that stopping governments programs which are policies of agriculture to exam and develop amount of crops because it leads to water dry-up in farm land. This method is that prohibiting experimentally programs of government such as using lo

、ts of water for cultivating new corps and controlling the demand and supply of irrigating food in per year. Farmers and ranchers have to use agricultural water on the limited and rotational basis which means they have to be controlled to use water in constant quality of water; actually, it will help

、 to maintain the agricultural economy and save the water. Last one is settle water shortage and capacity which is to store the water as much as possible from nature. Scientists advice that it is important to plant more trees on the upriver of Colorado River for saving the underground water, and loca

、l people have to consider how much amount of water can fill the looming gap between demand and supply of water and try to control the water using does not surpass the data of expectation. The solutions above are current actions which are keeping for solving the fresh water problems in Colorado. In C

、hina, there is a way to settle water issue also can be used for Colorado, which is water re-use. It focuses on using the technologies and prohibiting wasting behaviors of man-made to save water. For instance, using the life water such as water for washing, it can be used to cleaning. Also, the produ

、cts which using in public facilities can recycle water for reusing. Finally, China stores 2.5 million of water per year. (Press, C,) The data above is about solving water scarcity between supply and demand in Colorado, and it is important to cope with water woes in the America. Also, the impact of g

、lobalization on these water scarcity issues is that Colorado River is shared between close countries. When the supply of Colorado River is restricted, other states should turn forward to outside countries for borrowing water. Finally, adjacent countries might also face the water scarcity issue. (Fig

、ure 2) The distribution of water in Colorado In the figure 2, it illuminates the distribution of option received in Colorado. It reveals that demand of water contains 36%, and the supply of water contains 31%. Therefore, even though the demand reduces, the supply still cannot satisfy it. Also, the g

、overnment has 24% in modify operations and government implementations, so the government is responsibility to save water and decrease the demand of water using. (Source: U.S department of the interior, (2012), Colorado River Basin Water Supply & Demand Study Options Received to Resolve Wate

、r Supply and Demand Imbalances Online, Available from: /lc/region/programs/crbstudy/imbalanceoptions.html April 18 2012DiscussionThe thesis statement is that find the solution, which is to save water as much as possible in urban and rural areas in Colorado and solve the unbalance

、of increasingly demand and decreasingly supply issue. In my expectation before, I want to find some of the pressure of the water scarcity that the United States faces by increasing demand; indeed, I find that the Colorado state currently has a water problem because there are 2.2 billion people need

、fresh water for life and the population rate increase in double from the past, the demand of fresh water is increasing, and I researched lots of solution to settle the issues. Generally, the research is successful to find the results of water issues in Colorado, and it is also significant to find so

、lutions for each fresh water problem. Finally, it lights the purpose of this research which is to find out the cause of the water scarcity in the Colorado in the United States and find a significant way to curb it. Based on the finding, it is able to sum some accepted solutions for the fresh water i

、ssues. For instance, in China, some provinces also face the water scarcity, so Chinese government gives a plan which is water re-use to solve it. The plan claims that industries, public facilities, and private houses have to increases the efficiency of water using, and it actually focus on multiple

、use of water. For industries, when the production creates some extra water during the work, people have to collect this water in a reservoir and use it for cleansing or recycling, which is filtering dirty water by machines and re-use in the processing which means put clean water go back to industry

、for using. For public facilities, some extra water come from shops or parks have to save in boxes which are underground and clean it by putting in some chemicals such as bleach, and it also can use back. Additionally, some recreational facilities which have to use water, and they have to save the wa

、ter in boxes inside or cover it by Flats, which is important to keep water from away sunlight so it does not evaporate. For individual usage, people have to be active to re-use water. The example is using water which is clearing the vegetable or sweeping the floors to plant flowers or clean toilet.

、The methods above can also be significant to solve water scarcity in Colorado. The other way is that people have to use water-save technologies which can reduce the amount of water. For instance, there are lots of water supplying machines are working for irrigating the plants, but they have a stick

、always hit the hole of spilling water , which can scatter a flow of water into big area not just keep water in one way, and it efficient to save lots of water over a long period. This scientific method can solve the lack of underground water because it spend less time and use same amount of water to

、 irrigate a big area than normal water pipe which just can spilling in one direction, so it reduces the usage of water per day. In the report, I only did the secondary research, so it means the results and original solutions both created based on the resources which are already written by others. Th

、erefore, if scientists want to explore and discover more accurate information about water crisis in the Colorado, they have to make some experiments and surveys to test it. For instance, they can make questionnaires to measure the average dosage of water and interview the professional professors to

、give some advises for solving water scarcity. The effectiveness is that providing that scientists do the primary research, the results and solutions are more obvious and clear because they can exact to do the experiment and make surveys to justify the solution are approximate to solve the water woes

、 in Colorado. Conclusion In my report, the issue of water scarcity is that there is high demand and low supply of water issue in Colorado, so the solutions mentioned in the findings are able to solve the unbalance between demand and supply. The first approach is conservation. Some recreational funde

、rs have to think about a “green” design of pleasure staffs in the parks. For instance, some recreational vessels have to travel on the water, but funders have to design a machine to collect all of water back during the night. Because it is important to keep water from evaporation, lots of water whic

、h is used for replacing can be saved. Also, some public areas have to eliminate some cosmetic treatment such as fountains because that water can be saved for treating people not just for satisfying aesthete. The benefit of this plan can save approximately 5 million of water per year, so it is signif

、icant to keep running to against water scarcity (Tia, 2013). The second way is that stopping policies and practices of agriculture which lead to dry-up farm land. Farmers and ranchers have to use agricultural water on the limited and rotational basis which means they have to be controlled to use wat

、er in constant quality of water. The benefit of this action is that extra water can be saved and sent to urban area because it will satisfy demand of citizens TRILOGY, (2012). Last one is to settle water shortage and capacity which is to store the water as much as possible from nature. Scientists ad

、vice that it is important to plant more trees on the upriver of River for saving the underground water, and local people have to consider how much amount of water can fill the looming gap between demand and supply of water and balance the water using and try to control the water using does not surpa

、ss the data of expectation. The benefit of this solution is that the when water demand increases, the water supply can be saved to increase to meet it TRILOGY, (2012). In China, government announces that people have to re-use water in the daily life, which means people have to use an amount of water in various ways. For example, after the water is used for washing vegetable and
