1、The Market Survey Report for ShunQin Planting CompanyAbstract:This project illustrated the current position of ShunQin Planting Company, it shows what the problems the ShunQin Planting Company has, and what the company should be changed to improve. Nowadays, the competition is go crazy. If the compa

2、ny want to stand in this level of market share, it must increase the work efficiency of staff, keep the loyalty of exist clients, find more potential clients, and improve managers management skills. All of these are the objectives of ShunQin Planting Company. In this report, it shows the problems fo

3、r the ShunQin Planting Company, it use experience survey with the department manager in the company, to understand the current business situation of ShunQin Planting Company, and secondary data analysis from the website. And it also brings some objectives for the ShunQion Planting Company. After the

4、 survey, it has got some data. In the report, it manage the data and information, analysis it. At last, it shows ShunQin Planting Company some recommendations to improve themselves. 5、mpany. Introduction ShunQin Plant Company was established in 1990 in Shanghai. It is a landscape planning, design, construction, plant landscaping, green space conservation, floral floriation and seedlings, flowers, sod production and marketing of the green environment in one professional company.(

6、Li ShunMing, 2006)Registered capital of 20 million Yuan, a period in 2000, Shanghai Construction Commission approval for the urban landscape second level license enterprises. Since its establishment the company has always been to business type, management type, a knowledge-based, business-type targe

7、t for the enterprise in order to create a better home for the concept of corporate culture, by virtue of their own efforts, hard work, after fifteen years, has now become a Garden design, construction, maintenance, planting and sales of integrated enterprise landscape, with landscape garden design q

8、ualification B, urban landscape quality second level construction. In December 2002 through ISOO9001: 2000 international quality management system certification.ShunQin Planting Company to set up an integrated office, the financial room, design room, business plans, Engineering Management Section, E

9、ngineering Section Technical quality, engineering, conservation Branch, Division of safety equipment, nursery stock base and other departments, institutions sound and responsibilities clearly defined; and the establishment of personnel management, financial management, file management and other mana

10、gement systems.( Li ShunMing, 2006)ShunQin Plant Company has excellent engineer and advance technology: with personality、artistic design; with nice-looking gardening base; wholesaling many kinds of grove machinery、fire-appliance, customer first of all is company principle, while customer satisfactio

11、n is the level to best our after sales service. The mission statement of Company is green the environment, beautify the Shanghai, over the past few years, following the completion of the municipal residential, park facilities, schools, factories, mines, base camp, cross-regional projects such as gre

12、ening the landscape of dozens of large and medium-sized green projects as many as, fully reflects the companys green building on the comprehensive strength. Body A. Problems and ObjectivesThrough experience survey with the department manager in the company, to understand the current business situati

13、on of ShunQin Planting Company, and secondary data analysis from the website. After the initial exploratory research, some problems were identified in the following points: 1. Job-Hopping of EmployeesShunQin Plant Company has the train time for the new employees. And when the new employees start the

14、 work, there is also one or two old employee work with them. It is good for the new ones. Because when they meet some mistakes when they are working, they can ask the old employees for the help. The old ones can give some suggestions and supports for them. After they feel that they can competent for

15、 by themselves, they will live out the ShunQin Plant Company, maybe they will do the business by themselves or they will go to another plant company, because the other company give them much more pays.This is one of the biggest problems for the ShunQin Plant Company. Because ShunQin Plant Company us

16、e the time and money for training the new employees, but after they grown up, they leave away. For the ShunQin Plant Company, they not only lose the times, they also lose the money. 2. Lack of responsibility Typical duties expected of a property manager include finding/evicting and generally dealing

17、 with tenants, home repair, home improvement, cleaning, garden maintenance, landscaping and snow removal, to be coordinated with the owners wishes. Such arrangements may require the property manager to collect rents, and pay necessary expenses and taxes, making periodic reports to the owner, or the

18、owner may simply delegate specific tasks and deal with others directly.A property manager may arrange for a wide variety of services, as may be requested by the owner of the property, for a fee. Where a dwelling (vacation home, second home) is only periodically occupied, the property manager might a

19、rrange for heightened security monitoring, house-sitting, storage and shipping of goods, and other local sub-contracting necessary to make the property comfortable when the owner is in residence (utilities, systems operating, supplies and staff on hand, etc). Property management can also include com

20、mercial properties where the property manager may operate the business, as well as managing the property. Some jurisdictions may require a property manager to be licensed for the profession.But in ShunQin Plant Company, it has confused work relationship about manager and employees. Sometimes the emp

21、loyees did the jobs which are belonging to manager. The company lacks of strict organizational system.3. Staffs lack motivation and they need much self satisfactionEmployee satisfaction is an important aspect of business and we hear of several companies declaring large pay packages and incentives to

22、 retain the best talent. Job satisfaction, material satisfaction in terms of salary and bonuses, and social satisfaction with regard to the work ambience are essential aspects of business and all businesses will have to pay specific attention to employee social, financial and emotional satisfaction.

23、 Fulfilling the needs of employees should be the primary focus of companies and this could be in accordance with Maslows hierarchy of needs in which it has been suggested that financial security, personal safety would be very important to humans followed by emotional need for social contact and conn

24、ection and then we have esteem needs for social status and reputation.( Dong, 2008,)Rewards can also be organized as extrinsic or intrinsic. Extrinsic rewards are external to the person; for example, praise or money. Intrinsic rewards are internal to the person; for example, satisfaction or a feelin

25、g of accomplishment.But for CaiLin, the salary of employees has decreased to 5% the several months.Through the existed problems, the final objective is to increase the market share in the domestic market under the fierce competition.The detailed objectives include finding the information about the w

26、ays: 1. To increase the work efficiency of staff2. To keep the loyalty of exist clients and find more potential clients.3. To improve managers management skillsB. Because ShunQin Plant Company needs the middle age people to do the labour, if the employees are too old, they will have not energy to do the job in the best way. But if it is too young, they will not have responsibility to do the so tired work. So most employees i

28、n ShunQin Plant Company are about 30-40 years old, it not only good for the company, it also good for the employees, if the old people do the tired work, it also is bad for their body. 2. GenderIt shows that 65% employees in ShunQin Plant Company is male, because as I said before, ShunQin Planting C

29、ompany need the people to do the tired work, the female have not enough physical strength to do all the tired work, but the male can do. So ShunQin Planting Company always recruit male for working. 3. RaceIt shows that 41% of all the employees is from East-South of China, maybe the reason is the peo

30、ple from East-South of China have not much more money to alive in their hometown, another reason is maybe they want to earn much money to bring honor to their family. The people from East-North of China also is 29%. It can see, the people from EAST of China want to earn money more than the west. 4.

31、Whats your position at ShunQin Plant Company?After the survey, it can see that clearly, in ShunQin Plant Company, it needs so many workers to finish the job. And it also needs some bulu-collar employees and technical staff, because the plant company needs to clip the trees or the flowers, to make it

32、 become much more beautiful. 5. Whats your monthly salary? After the survey, the chart shows that most employees in the ShunQin Plant Company have got the income is about 2000-3000RMB, in Shanghai, the lowest income level is 960 RMB, it is much higher than it, and the second level is 3000-5000RMB, a

33、nd it has about 16% of all, it shows the salaries level in ShunQin Plant Company is higher than the average level. 6. What are the reasons for you to take the current position?From the answers of the question, its easy to know most of the employee chooses ShunQin Plant Company because of the money.

34、And the second reason is the benefits. Only 9%people choose the working environment. It means that the ShunQin Plant Companys working environment is not comfortable for the employees.7. What are the reasons that will cause you to leave our company?From these answers, it knows clearly that if people

35、leave the company, the biggest reason is money. But we can not overlook the management. There are 22%people leave the company because the management. It means the company needs to focus on the management. Because from the answers of NO.5 question, it can know the salaries of the company is OK for th

36、e employees. So maybe the management is an very important reason. 8. What is your desired monthly salary?From the answers of NO.5 question, it shows that most employees salaries is in range of 2000-3000RMB. Here, the answer shows that 80%people want to have the income in 3000-4000RMB per months. It

37、means these people are unsatisfactory on their income. Maybe it will be the reason why the people want to leave the company. 9. What kind of benefits do you want? From these answers, it can know the employees need have more flexible time. maybe the manager always look at them when they are working,

38、it make them feel un-freedom. If the manager can tell them all the work what they need to finished in one day, and than the employees can manage their own time by themselves. Perhaps it can make the employees stay in company for a long time. 10. What should our company do to improve working environm

39、ent? From the answers, it can know that maybe the ShunQin Plant Companys management department does not know the employees life situation clearly. Because the managers knows the employees life situation can help them to decide how to manage the employees. And it also can know what the employees need

40、 and want. The second larger percentage is 33% for provide necessary entertainment facilities, it show that maybe the employees fell their work is too seriousness, it is bad for their work. Company should focus on this point. 11. What is the best way to improve the Interpersonal relations?The interp

41、ersonal relations are for all the employees who work for ShunQin Plant Company. The relations are not just for the managers. If the workers or other staffs are not concert the managers, or the low level employees are heat with each other. It is very hard to solve the problem for managers. From the a

42、nswers of this question, it easy to know, the employees fell that have a good communication is the best way to improve the interpersonal relations. A good interpersonal relation could make the employees like to work in ShunQin Plant Company, the employees fell happy, and it can help the company to i

43、ncrease the profit. 12. In your opinion, what is the best way to establish employee loyalty?For every company, employee loyalty is very important. Because if the employee leaves the company after the training, it will be a biggest losing for the company, because the company uses much money to traini

44、ng the employees, but they leave the company, it shows that the company losing the money to train the company. The company loses cost.So establish employee loyalty is very important, from the survey, it can know that if the salary is above the market, it will effective the employee loyalty. If the c

45、ompany want to retain the employee, maybe the salaries is the best way. 13. What are you expectations about your manager? In this answers, it can know the problems of ShunQin Plant Company. 42% employee chooser “be fair to all employees”, it means that maybe the managers is unfair to them in now. Th

46、e second chosen is “communicate well with employees”, it also shows that maybe the managers cannot communicate well with employees. Maybe it affects the employees leave. 14. How long have you been working for ShunQin Company? From the chat, it shows that 42% people work for ShunQin Plant Company for

47、 9 months. Only 3% people work for ShunQin Plant Company more than 2 years. It shows that most employees leave the company when they feel they can do the work by themselves. 15. How long should a new employee be trained before he/she can work on his/her own?From the answer, it can know clearly that

48、51% people think that a new employee be trained before he/she can work on his/her own should use more than 3 months. It shows that the work in ShunQin Plant Company is very hard to accept. The second chosen is 3 months. It means that most employees think that it need to used a longer time to learn t

49、he skills for working in ShunQin Plant Company.16. In terms of employee compensation and motivation, which system should our company implements? From the answers, it can know that employees need to be faired. They cannot just have the reward and punishment only. 17. During the current financial cris

50、is, should our company make effort to provide better customer service in order to keep our market share? From the answers, it easy can see that all the employees agree that during the current financial crisis, the ShunQin Plant Company should provide better customer service in order to keep their ma

From the answers, it can easy know that all the employees think that the company should have a new incentive system and management system. It also show that employ

ConclusionThis project illustrated the current position of ShunQin Plant Company, it shows what the problems the ShunQin Plant Company has, and what the company should be change to improve. Nowadays, the competition is go craz

54、ompany in now, it should proceed in the managers management skill, base on the survey, it shows clearly, the workers is dissatisfaction with the managers. The low level employees feel unfair. So the managers also should be trained to have a good relationship with all the employees. If the employees

55、feel unhappy when they are working, it must affect the working efficiency, it also affects the profits of company.
