3、 english11 questionnaire in chinese131. introduction every year a large number of graduates come into the society, then we are facing a problem-get a job. because of the financial crisis, in recent years, the employment rate of university graduates is very low, which requires that we must have a cle

4、ar career planning. and then we will be invincible in the work place. for that purpose, the present survey is made.1.1 purposethe survey sets its goal at whether college students have a clear career planning to deal with future social competition. then, through our survey, we can find the problem, a

5、nd give suggestions on how to make a good career planning and improve the employment rate.1.2 subjectsin order to make the survey more persuasive, we did the research among students in our university, including freshmen, sophomores, juniors and seniors. 100 copies of questionnaires in total were han

6、ded out and all of them were collected back which are effective. interviewees are from different majors and different grades. 11 of them are freshmen, 42 are sophomores, 21 are juniors, and 26 are seniors. among all the interviewees, include 44 boys and 56 girls.1.3 time and placetime: the survey to

7、ok about one week, from november 18th to november 24th, 2013. the questionnaires were distributed on november 19th and collected back on november 20th.place: qinggong college, hebei united university1.4 instrumentquestionnaires are used to collect data. considering the questionnaire in english may b

8、ring some troubles to the interviewees with different english levels, we adopt the chinese version instead of the english one (see english and chinese versions in appendices). the interviewees are selected at random to make the data more reliable. for instance, the questionnaires are given to the st

9、udents studying in classrooms and to those staying in dormitories. whats more, students from all grades are made sure to participate in this investigation.2. date collection and analysis on 19th november, we investigated 100 students, and all of them returned their questionnaires.to ensure the valid

10、ity of the survey, the six members in our team were divided into three groups to hand out the questionnaires, going to different places and investigating different students. most of the interviewees were willing to help us with the survey. all the questionnaires were returned. on the whole, they fin

11、ished the questionnaires carefully. only few questions were answered casually, which brought us some troubles when we did the data collection.in general, most of the information we collected was useful and accurate.all the analyses are based on question 2,3, 4, 5, 6, 7, 8, 9,11 and 13.2.1 analysis o

12、n college students career aimsaccording to question 2 and 4, we get a result about whether students have a certain aims.result: according to the figure, students with higher grade have more definite aims. on the contrast, the number of students with uncertain arms or without aims was decreased. the

13、sophomores are on condition of wandering. reasons:1) the freshmen have more spare time and they are curious about everything, so they do not realize the importance of job.2) the senior are facing graduation, and have to be independent, so they have a certain aims.2.2 analysis on career orientationqu

15、l students want to get into foreign-invested enterprise, because they are long for a good salary. most students who majored in polytechnic want to enter state-owned enterprise. and some students want to enter the government or state-owned enterprise. on the contrast, the students majored in arts are

16、 less, so we cant get the accurate result. (because of the interpersonal limit, we are liberal arts students, the respondents almost majored in liberal arts, so the result may not be accurate.)2.3 analysis on why students choose the enterprisesquestion 9 will show the reasons. result:from this diagr

17、am, we can easily see that half of the students choose the high income works. about 25% of the students consider the bright future, so they choose the rising-sun industry. and about 18% of the students consider whether the work is consistent with their own majors. and few students choose work for ot

18、her reasons.2.4 analysis on salarybased on question 11, we get figure below.result: according to the statistics, obviously, most of the students are satisfied with the salary between rmb 3000-4000. only a few students choose the salary under rmb 2500. and the others are satisfied with the salary bet

19、ween rmb 2500-3000 and over rmb 4000.2.5 analysis on working areasquestion 5 is designed to know where do students choose to work in.result:as can be seen from the chart, half of the students choose to work in central big-middle cities. only a few students want to work in western big-middle cities a

20、nd northeastern heavy industrial areas. about 30% of the students are fond of eastern coastal developed areas.reasons: the majority of students choose where to work in is based on the living conditions and development opportunities. so they choose eastern coastal developed areas or central big-middl

21、e cities as their working places. and few students choose western big-middle cities and northeastern heavy industrial areas. in addition, they also consider their parents suggestions, teachers suggestions, friends suggestions and their own desires.2.6 analysis on whether students can accept to work

22、in a small townquestion 7 will show the result. result:as we can see from the chart, most of the students are not willing to work in a small town, only because there is nothing could do but to do it. of course, some wish to go to hometown to work.reason:1) work in a small town remains the lower inco

23、me. students are eager for higher income.2) many students long for city life, they can not accept the hard life.3. conclusionsthrough the whole survey, we find a good phenomenon that most students in our university have the desire to take advantage of the career planning, especially the references i

24、n their own major. part of the students have a certain career planning, they can list what they want to do, how much salary they want to get, and where to get a job. whats more, we are glad to find that most people have a life purpose, although it is not yet practical. but that is associated with ag

25、e. freshman had gone to college not long before, may not soon make their future occupation planning. on the contrast, seniors are facing the pressure of finding a job, so they must have a certain planning.however, we still find some problems on college students, there are three main problems as foll

26、ow:1) goals are unrealistic, asking too much. most students are longing for high pay, living conditions and development opportunities, but do not aware of the grim reality. the majority students are blind pursuit city life.2) not willing to develop from entry level. most of the students may serve as

27、 class president, members of the student union or other duties. so once arriveatthe work place, they cannot accept to start at the bottom. for example, minority students admire to go to work in a far away town, although it is difficult to find a job.3) no subjective opinion. on the one hand, student

28、s only admire better conditions, not have a guide of individual interests. on the other hand, some students could do nothing but listen to their parents or friends, so they could not have a certain aims.4. suggestions4.1 definite goalthe goal is the direction, you can get nowhere without objective i

29、n life. if you headed in the right direction, each step, and no mater how small, is getting you closer to your goal. as the saying goes, where there is a will, there is a way. in this survey, we can see that there are a lot of students dont have a clear aim, which is disadvantageous to the developme

30、nt of their future. its better for them to make a clear goal.4.2 self-assessmentthe purpose of self-assessment is to understand our own. the self-assessment includes interests, strengths, knowledge, skills, characters, and so on. only know ourselves, can we make the right choice which is suitable to

31、 our career development. 4.3 the assessment of career environmentin the job search process, we should consider the environmental factors on our own career development. assessment of environmental factors includes organization environment, political environment, social environment, economic environme

32、nt and so on. in the survey, we can see that most of the students consider more on economic environment. we suggest students consider more on other environments. the more environments you consider the better choice you make. 4.4 knowing yourself if you want to have a certain aim, you must know yours

33、elf. firstly, only you can know what are your interests and goals, and what people you want to be. secondly, you have a good understand about what is your strengths and weakness, for exactly what youd be right for. finally, students should adapt to the changes of external environment, estimating tim

34、ely, adjust the career planning.5. limitationsour survey is limited in terms of place, which is confined only in our university. it cannot indicate the thorough conditions in all universities. so our analyses are not sweeping enough. in addition, at present our school only includes sophomore and jun

35、ior and few senior. meanwhile these students majors are just science and engineering, foreign languages and arts. so our survey can only be in these people. the factors cause the data not accurate and not comprehensive. investigation of scientific cant reach the standard. therefore, the depth and wi
