Wedding Etiquette In your lifetime, you will likely attend many wedding ceremonies and receptions to celebrate the beginning of a couples new life together. 5、le will be making many decisions based on the number of people who will be there. If you must cancel after you have accepted, do so as soon as possible. While its considered very bad manners to respond after RSVP date, its even worse to show up at the wedding after having not replied at all. Being p

6、unctual. The invitation says the ceremony starts at five oclock. When should you arrive? lBe sure to arrive there by 4:45 so as to give yourself time to find a seat and get settled. lIf you are late and the processional or ceremony has already started, take your cue from the wedding coordinator or c

7、hurch coordinator. lIf the processional is in progress, dont interrupt. Dress appropriately lYour attire should be appropriate for the occasion. The place indicated in the card will give you an idea how formal the occasion will be. lKeep in mind religious customs that impose the dress code. lIn any

Consider teaming up with a couple of friends to buy a bigger gift than each of you would give individually. 3. What gifts should you send? Be generous Determining the value of your gift can

10、 be a challenge. The rule of thumb is to give the equivalent of the cost of your meal, so if youre attending as a couple, double the amount. Cash or a check is a standard gift among many cultures, as is something from the gift registry. Give, no matter what If you returned your reply card saying you

11、re unable to attend, you must still send a gift to honor the occasion. If youre only invited for the dance or open bar (if there is one) after the dinner, you should still give a gift. Being polite at the wedding ceremony Being Considerate. Dont carry on a conversation with the person next to you wh

12、ile you are seated in church or crack jokes with the person across the pew. Be considerate of the Happy Couple and all others in attendance. 4. How to behave? Taking Pictures Do not take pictures during the ceremony. Many churches do not allow flash pictures and you may disturb the ceremony. The pro

13、fessional photographer is the only one who should be taking pictures and he/she will know the rules of the church or event center. Getting to know when to stand or sit At most ceremonies, the guests stand when the bride enters. Remain standing until the officiant asks you to be seated. When the cere

14、mony ends, remain in your seat until the ushers dismiss you, or if there are no ushers, until the mothers of the bride and groom have been escorted out. Allow family members of the bride and groom, who will be seated near the front, to exit first. Do remember to turn your cell phone on silent and le

15、t calls go to voice mail. Its considered poor wedding guest etiquette to call the bride or groom to ask if you can bring a guest. Dont bring anyone who is not included in the invitation letter. Do introduce yourself to everyone at your table at the reception, and make polite conversation. Dont pile

16、your plate full unless you are at the end of the line, if a buffet is served at the reception. Be courteous of those who have yet to eat. Dont drink too much.
