4、nalysis of businessmarket analysiswith the globalization of business, economy and finance, english is becoming more and more important worldwide. english has become the common language due to both historical as well as contemporary reasons. english language teaching (elt) has become one of the most

5、promising industries in china. as a matter of fact, china is currently the biggest market for elt in the world. according to the latest statistics released by the ministry of education, of the 240 million students who are studying english, over half of them are between 10 and 19. this shows a great

6、demand for elt in the coming years. in addition, there are nearly 75 million students studying in non-conventional schools for adults. even if only 3%5% of these people have the strong desires and financial capabilities to attend further studies in english, the number will be astonishingly huge. che

7、nghai and chaoyang are two districts of shantou city. in chenghai, there are 501 joint-stock companies, 312 manufactories, 5,600 industrial companies covering plastics and toys, food industries, arts and crafts, architectural materials and so on. the total investment from foreign capital adds up to

8、510 million us dollars. chenghai people take full advantages of their leading industryplastics and toys manufacture. the international toys exposition is held here annually. in chaoyang, there are 2,101 industrial companies of textile and garment, stationary, and refined chemicals. the demand for fo

9、reign trade people with good english in these two districts is over 20,000, much more than the supply. in spite of the great demand for such personnel, there is only one english training center in chenghai and none in chaoyang. therefore it is the opportunity to set up another english training cente

10、r in these two places now. business analysison we go english training center aims at those who want to learn or upgrade their english. it will be set up in the newly-built housing estates in the busy downtowns of chenghai and chaoyang. in chenghai, it will be situated in ningguan housing estate, nea

11、r the lotus supermarket. in chaoyang, it will be located in xili housing estate, facing national motorway 324. the training center is to be registered in shantou industrial and commercial management bureau with a capital of rmb 600,000 yuan, provided by two shareholders. it also needs approval from

12、shantou education bureau. the business scope of the center is to offer english training. the training center is intended to occupy 1,000 square meters respectively in chenghai and chaoyang. these two sites will be decorated in the same style to make sure that each one is spacious enough to have 8 mi

13、cro-classrooms, 5 multi-media teaching rooms, a meeting room, a managers office, an administrative office, a teachers office, a reception room and a storage room. in addition to 3 foreign teachers, there will be 14 chinese english teachers, 6 part-time teaching assistants, 4 clerks, 2 housekeepers a

14、nd 2 security guards. we offer a variety of english training courses including basic english, business english (beginning, intermediate & advanced), conversational english, english for children and tailor-made courses for companies. it is estimated that 600 people will attend the various courses reg

15、ularly and the whole turnover will be able to reach 120,000 yuan per month based on the current situation all things considered, we believe that running an english training center in chenghai and chaoyan has a good prospect. financial situation the training center will need an investment of 600,000

30、 due to the excessive enrollment, the teachers and clerks in new time english training center are always very busy and sometimes are not devoted, giving little individual attention. the classrooms are not well equipped in terms of electronic teaching facilities. the class room atmosphere is boring.

31、people in chaoyang have to travel a long way to attend english training courses. suggestions the fees should be cut down as much as possible. part-time teaching assistants should be trained beforehand. the number of students in each class must be controlled. the new english training center should be

36、usa and uk. the teaching is characterized by diverse contents and different levels. it will proceed with advanced teaching facilities and modern teaching methodologies. the environments of the two sites in chenghai and chaoyang are nice and quiet. the traffic is also very convenient. we will set up

37、a scholarship program for the disabled. according to each industrys special requirement, we will tailor-make the course to meet their specific needs.weakness we dont have the authorization of cambridge young learners english and iets training and wont apply for these in near future. the two managers

38、, though they have good command of english, lack experiences in running an english training center. the high investment brings a heavy burden and we have not much current capital. there will be only 3 full-time foreign teachers and they will have to make round trips between the two sites. we are not
