The human resource management is the set of activities designed to recruit high-quality employees and then improve their skills and capabilities; the primary responsibility of the HR function is to develop a companys HRM system. 5、anning management is a core of modern business management and it plays a decisive role of the economy. In the new economy human resources planning functions has been changed from the role of the traditional personal management to strategic human resource management. Human resource management is cruc
6、ial for a companys success.Human resource management can improve competitive power of corporations, rational configuration of human resource and realization of strategic target. To strengthen human resource management is the needing of survival of corporations and intrinsic development.2.0 The main
7、functions involved in human resources planningHuman resource planning involves planning to satisfy a firms needs for employees. It consists of three tasks:1. Forecasting staffing needs2. Job analysis3. Recruiting2.1 About forecasting staffing needsIf staffing needs can be anticipated in advance, the
8、 firm has more time to satisfy those needs. Some needs for human resources occur as workers retire or take jobs with other firms. Additional needs for employees result from expansion. These needs may be determined by assessing the firms growth trends.2.2 About job analysisBefore a firm hires a new e
9、mployee to fill an existing job position, it must decide what tasks and responsibilities will be performed by that position and what credentials are needed to quality for that position. The analysis used to determine the tasks and the necessary credentials for a particular position is referred to as
10、 job analysis.2.3 RecruitingFirm use various forms of recruiting to ensure an adequate supply of qualified candidates. Recruiting can occur internally or externally. Internal recruiting seeks to fill open positions with persons already employed by firm. It can be beneficial because existing employee
11、s have already been proven. Internal recruiting also allows existing workers to receive a promotion or to switch to more desirable tasks.3.0 Case analysisDifferent corporations may have different concepts of human resource management. If the corporations considered have some differences in this rega
12、rd or that, then some changes are dispensable. Therefore changes and adaptations are pre-requisite for managers in multinational enterprises.Following are two cases how the successful corporations deal with their human resource planning effectively.3.1 How is the human resource planning management o

The corporation was founded in 198
18、0 in Silicon V alley. Now it produces and engages in a series range of products, such as the disk arrays, personal computers, high-end computers, net servers and so on. Due to these products with advanced technology, they are favorable by a lot of famous corporations, such as Compaq, Apple, Dell, Sa

The success of the corporation comes from its good human resource management, which plays an important role in improving efficiency and team work.According to the characteristics of the products, the Quantum Corporation comes up with clearly requirements, such as high qua
20、lity. This requirement is implemented by all of the employees in the corporation. Because the products what Quantum Corporation provides always have a very short life cycle, it needs skilled employees, such as the technician who can provideproducts with new technology. Therefore, Quantum Corporation
21、 is competitive in the market. At the same time, the workers should also be skillful to do effective work to ensure a plenty supply of its new products. All of the requirements for the employees are clearly reflected by the human resource management system. Employees in Quantum Corporation know what

Clear requirements for employees are the guarantee of efficiency, good performance and high quality of the products.4.0 Personal studies4.1 China University Students and young people, how to join a similar
