3、erally con sidered great to be an air traffic controller by the public, for the job is believed to be well-paid and quite easy. i was also one of them before i started the work. but things have bee n en tirely differe nt from what i used to think. as an air trafficcontrollerof the newcentury, were f

4、acing tasks and barriers greater and harder tha n ever, that is, we have to ensure the safety and order of the fast-developing civilaviation.were burdened with pressure, resp on sibilities, the trust of hun dreds of pilots, the lives of tens of thousands of passengers, and the hopes of millionsof fa

5、milies. every step we take, every word we say is connected to the safety of passengers. and disasters may occur if were eve n a little bit careless. the n, how can that be easy? as a man who owns a family, i also have to take care of my family. still, it isnt that easy. since i took the job 10 years

6、 ago, i have nt had eno ugh time to be with my family. so many festivals have i spe nd with microph on es, but not my family and friends, just because myjob needs me. so many times have my wife complained about my returning homelate and hav ing meals outside ofte n, just because my job n eeds me. an

7、d so many times, my mom or dad is sick in bed, but i cannot be there with them in time, just because myjob needs me. i cannot fully devote myself to my family because my job needs me, a lot of people n eed me. and aga in, as a man with a family, how can that be easy? eve n though im not compete nt a

8、s a father, a husba nd, and a son, i still love my family. my daughter once said that it was her happiest time to see meback from work. and its the same with me. im pleased and grateful to see that my family can support and un dersta nd my work and my little devoti on to them. i have made many sacri

9、fices as an air traffic controller. i really feel sorry for myfamily. but as i help pilots find their desti nati ons un derterrible weather con diti ons,and the n hear thanks from them, im satisfied. and as i see planes taking off and landing safely, and makesure that hundreds more families can get

10、together, im comforted. i even seemto be able to see the happy smiles on their faces. such is my job, though i cannot enjoy much of the happ in ess my family brings to me, i can experieneethe sense of responsibilitythrough my work. illnever regret this, regret choos ing my job. it is through these y

12、o stand here to deliver my speech. what i m going to talk about is choice in my life i can still remember the first time i failed in a singing con test. i immediately ran to mygra ndma, sheddi ng lots of tears of course! i cried loudly and could hardly utter a word! then,badly needed comfortingwords

13、 and touch came from grandma. i gradually regained my sense of pride and a sensible control of my feelings.yet, head down, i said: grandma, i have no choice, and i have to give up, right? look at me, mydear!she said gen tly. i looked up, straight into her eyes. what i saw was a shining,sweet, and lo

22、respect them and get on well with them ,they also n eed us just like we n eed them.apart from our pare nts wehave many other relatives ,they also give us supports, we should respect them and get on well with them too. if we have no relatives we will have no power to study here. when we start to stud
