4、组织了追思母亲的活动,并鼓励他人也以类似方式来表达对各自慈母的感激之情。此后,她到处游说并向社会各界呼吁,号召设立母亲节。她的呼吁获得热烈响应。1913年5月10日,美国参众两院通过决议案,由威尔逊总统签署公告,决定每年5月的第二个星期日为母亲节。这一举措引起世界各国纷纷仿效,至1948年安娜谢世时,已有43个国家设立了母亲节。,Mothers Day,父亲节的来历: 1909年,华盛顿一位叫布鲁斯-多德的夫人,在庆贺母亲节的时候突然产生了一个念头:既然有母亲节,为什么不能有父亲节呢?多德夫人和她的5个弟弟早年丧母,他们由慈爱的父亲一手养大的。姐弟6人时常回想起父亲含辛茹苦养家的情景。于是,她

May I try it on? try on 试穿 如: try on the shoes before you buy them. 【拓展】 (1)try to do sth.“努力去做,尽力做”=try ones best to do 如:He tried to climb the tree. 他试着努力爬那棵树。 (2)try doing sth. 指“尝试做看看,有何结果”,暗示在这之前已试过某种方法但不奏效,另试其他方法。 如:If no one answer

9、s the door, why not try knocking the back door?,May I try it on? try on意为 “试穿(衣、鞋、帽等), 它是由“动词+副词”构成的短语,其后接 名词作宾语,将其置于副词on之后或之前均可,但如果宾语是人称代词,则只能将 人称代词宾格置于on之前。如: You can try on this skirt before you buy it. = You can try this skirt on before you buy it. 【练习】完成句子。 These shoes are nice. May I _ (试穿它们)?

Thats too much. 区分 too much 和 much too 以上2个短语都强调的是后面的单词, much too是too的强势语,用法与too相同。如: You are much too kind to me.你对我实在太好了。 This one is much too big.这个确实太大了。 too much是much的强势语,用法与much相似。如: Dont eat too much.别吃得太多。 Theres too much water.水太多了。,4. Ill take it.,take 拿、

11、采取、穿,【拓展】take 短语,take back 收回、接回、退回 take down 写下、记下 take in 收留、包括、理解、欺骗 take off 脱下、起飞、打折扣 take on 聘用、雇用、呈现、显现 take up 继续、占去(时间或空间),5. The strawberries look fresh. look在这里是感官系动词,表示“看起来”,其后加 形容词,和be动词用法类似。 【拓展】感官系动词还有 sound, smell, taste, feel等,当这几个词用作连系动词的时候,它们的意思分别是“听起来”、“闻起来”、“尝起来”、“摸起来”,其后直接加形容词!

What else would you like? else是个副词,表示“另外,其他”的意思,还可以用在“who, where” 等词后面。 e.g.: who else will go to the meeting? what else would you do? else 还可以与不定副词(如: something,anybody, anyone, somewhere等)连用,但是也要放在这些词之后。 e.g.: Would
