His foot slipped and he fell into the water. “Oh, help, help!” cried the ant. A dove was sitting on a branch of a tree over the stream and heard his cry
2、 of help. “Oh, poor ant!” said the dove. “I will help the ant.”The dove pulled off a leaf and dropped it near the ant. “Here is a leaf. Climb on it,” said the dove. The ant climbed on it at once and floated to the bank. A few days after this a hunter found the dove and was going to shoot her. Just t
3、hen the ant passed by and said to himself, “This time I must help the dove.” The ant ran to the hunter and bit his foot hard. The hunter sprang up and missed to shoot the dove. The dove said to the ant, “Thank you very much, my little friend. You have saved my life,” and she could fly away happily二、

5、me for Indian corn, holiday parades and giant balloons. 在美国,感恩节是一个感谢恩赐,家庭团聚,合家欢宴的日子;是一个家家餐桌上都有火鸡、填料、南瓜馅饼的日子;是一个充满了印第安玉米、假日游行和巨型气球的日子。 Thanksgiving is celebrated on the 4th Thursday of November, which this year (2008) is November 27th. 每年十一月的最后一个星期四是感恩节,在今年(2008)则是11月27日。下面让我们来看看感恩节的由来吧:The Pilgrims
6、in Mayflower set ground at Plymouth Rock on December 11, 1620. Their first winter was devastating. At the beginning of the following fall, they had lost 46 of the original 102 who sailed on the Mayflower. But the harvest of 1621 was a bountiful one. And the remaining colonists decided to celebrate w
7、ith a feast - including 91 Indians who had helped the Pilgrims survive their first year. It is believed that the Pilgrims would not have made it through the year without the help of the natives. The feast was more of a traditional English harvest festival than a true thanksgiving observance. It last

However, they did eat boiled pumpkin, and they produced a type of fried bread from their corn crop. There was also no milk, cider, potatoes, or butter. There were no domestic
10、cattle for dairy products, and the newly-discovered potato was still considered by many Europeans to be poisonous. Just do it!活动纪实:一、问题讨论:对于阅读中遇到的难以理解或见解有分歧的问题,教师组织学生通过讨论或辨论的方式解决。二、知识竞赛:
17、采用抢答读物的作者、说出读物中精彩句段或格言警句、播放对话录音辨认作品人物以及分析作品主题等形式,巩固课外阅读的成果。三、短剧表演:学生把课外阅读材料改编成短剧表演,提高学生的创新能力和语言综合运用能力。学生表演的莫泊桑的项链,书虫读物中的小红帽、麦琪的礼物、狮子王等短剧赢得阵阵掌声。四、三分钟演讲:学生将英语阅读活动与自己的生活实际相联系,通过编写小故事、模仿名人演讲或主题演讲等展开演讲比赛。这一活动中学生佳作迭现,老师的即兴精彩点评更让学生收获大增。英语课外活动小组活动纪实活动时间:2015年12月1日参加人员:全体活动小组成员主要内容:阅读从“心”开始活动纪实:为学生开列一张阅读菜单。由
18、老师精心搜集课外阅读资料,向学生推荐。所选材料有课文内容的延伸,有报纸、英文小说或书虫简写本以及符合学生口味的小短文。2009年“英语阅读节”期间开列的阅读书单是:1.小公主;2.邦蒂号暴动;3.奥米茄文件;4.谁谋杀了总统;5.福尔摩斯和公爵的儿子;6.白色死亡;7.简爱;8汤姆历险记;9.小红帽;10.麦琪的礼物;11.狮子王。在开出书单的同时,要求学生边读边做读书笔记,根据所选的材料,一周一篇。针对不同年级、不同学生对读书笔记的形式做了三种要求:(1)摘抄:摘抄精彩的词句、片段、格言和警句等,并进行整理和归类,为后续的语言运用积累素材。(2)列提纲:列出文章的主题、框架或故事梗概,培养学
