Use Chinese when necessary” .Surely our students can understand you gradually if you keep on speaking English in our classroom.No reason for you not to speak in English, no matter youre teaching in downtown or in rural area.Best way to improve ourselves is to practice classroom English all the time.,Problems when using Classroom English,一不准确,错误多 1.词形不准:如Lets see the two sentence. 2.词序不对:如Can you guess what does it mean? 3.搭配不全:如Pay attention the difference. 4.语态不通:如The letter “a pronounces /ei/ 教师的课堂用语要力求准确,尽量避免出现错误。,二不规范,太随意 1.半中文半英文 如Read after me啊! Because 什么? Open you book at page27,做练习二。 OK. 好! 2.中文式的英文 如One Two! 开始! Good Morning teacher. Together answer. Sit well. 教师要为学生提供地道的英语,课堂用语的使用一定要严 格,不要出现英汉参杂或汉式英语。,三不活泼,太单调 教师的语言应该是丰富多彩的,老用一个词,老唱一个调,语言就乏味,不利于调动学生的积极性。 曾做过统计过,一堂课中有位教师竟说了149次“OK”。 Look at the blackboard. 所有的学生到前面讲解的时候都用这句用语。 So many “Good” and “Very good!” 对学生的回答做肯定的评价时,教师有多种表达形式。应视情况选择Thats it!/Thats right!/Good!/Very good!/Exactly!/Great!/Great job!/Super!等。 根据学生不同的表现,教师用不同的语言可以使评价更中肯、客观。教师爱用某些高频率词汇并没有错,然而情况不同,课堂用于也应该有变化。,四不通俗,难理解 为了给学生营造英语环境,英语教学要求尽量用英语来组织,但不能为英语而英语。有些教师一味地为了用英语,所用语言太复杂、啰嗦,令人费解。结果让学生云里雾里,如听天书,失去学习兴趣。 如一位教师教relative时说:Relative means relation or person to whom one is related by blood or marriage. If someone is your relative, they belong to the same family as you.这样的讲解确实让人费解。 而另一位教师的方法值得我们借鉴,他这样解释think: I see with my eyes. I hear with my ears. I speak with my mouth. I think with my head.
