Section A 3a-3c 学习内容 Unit 6 An old man tried to move the mountains教材分析 &学情分析教材分析本单元是人教版八年级英语下册的第六单元,包括四个板块的内容(Section A,GrammarFocus,Section B,SelfCheck),本单元的中心话题是“传奇式的童话故事”。语言技能和语言知识都是依据这一中心话题而设计的。本单元内容与实际生活息息相关,是学生感兴趣的话题。因此在教学中,教师应充分调动学生的积极性,鼓励他们大胆开口,运用英语表达与此话题有关的内容。以此来对学生进行情感态度的培养,并引导学生积极地用英语讲出自己知道的童话故事。从语法角度来说,本课主要时态是一般现在时,这是一个生活中离不开的时态,也是之前学习过的最基本的一个时态。这既是一个巩固,又是一次学习。 新课程标准要求学生重点掌握一般现在时,这在英语中使用频率很高,学好这一时态的用法对以后其他时态的学习和交际有很大的帮助。学情分析学生是学习的主体,对学生情况的分析是教学工作的关键环节。八年级学生的特点:八年级学生经过一年多系统的英语学习,具备了一定的听说基础,正逐步向读,写过渡,通过一年多新课程理念的熏陶和实践,有了初步自主合作,分析归纳的能力。并处于知识积累,前后知识衔接,培养良好的学习习惯的关键时期。大部分学生对英语有一定兴趣,但由于知识的安排由浅入深,有少数学生对这门学科产生了厌恶心理,消除学生厌学情绪,激发学习兴趣至关重要。学 习目 标After this lesson, the students will be able to 1. Language& Ability 1)Learn and use the new words to make sentences and use them in real life, like magic, stick, hide, tail, turninto, object, Western and so on;2) Learn and master the new sentence structure to tell the story about the Monkey King, like: a. The Monkey King is not just any normal monkey. b. That is because he can make 72 changes to his shape and size, turning himself into different animals and objects. c. The clever Monkey King keeps fighting to help the weak and never gives up. 3) Improve the abilities on reading by using different reading strategies. . 4) Develop the ability to tell a story or introduce a character in a book or film or reality. 2. Affective & Attitude 1) Develop positive attitude towards middle school life and study ; 2) Be interested in reading and telling stories to others in English;. 3) Be imaginable and willing to share ideas with classmates; 4) Respect the spirit of never giving up and helping others.重点难点1). Learn the new words and phrases about the Monkey King;2). Learn to introduce a character in a book or film;3). Improve the reading ability and improve reading strategies by practice;4). Guessing game : The teacher will describe a book and let students guess what the book is. 2. Discussion: In the book Journey to the West, Q1. Which character do you like best? Q2. Why do you like him? Q3. What does he like saying? e.g. In our group, we like _ best, because he is _ and _. He likes saying_. 3. Video appreciation. The teacher will show students a short video about the Monkey King, and after Watching it, the students need to ask three questions. Q1. What kind of animal is he? Q2. What is he used to fight? Q3. Can he change himself into others? Step 2 While-reading1. Individual work: Skimming.1st reading: Read the whole passage very quickly and match the main idea of each paragraph. Reading strategy: Pay attention to the first or last sentence of each paragraph and find the main idea. Para 1 The Monkey King is not just a normal monkey he can do magical things.Para 2 The Monkey King is new to pupils in England but not to Chinese children.Para 3 Western children are also becoming interested in the story of the Monkey King.2. Which book is talked about?Q3. When did the pupils in England hear the story for the first time? 3. Pair Work: Scanning 3rd reading: Read Para.2 very carefully and complete the chart in 3b.
