(In the video, it says Earth has different climates and beautiful views.)T: How magic our earth is! And how lucky we are! We can enjoy different climates just on Earth.2)Free talk:T: What kind of weather do you like? And why?【设计意图】视频欣赏,导入新课,为学生创造轻松愉快的学习气氛、活跃课堂气氛,激发学生的好奇心和学习兴趣,为新课学习打下伏笔。Step2 Presentation1) Enjoy a flash of a beautiful snow.T: I like snowy days best because all the world is white and beautiful.T: But if it snows for a long time, we will get too much snow. We cant drive our cars. We cant ride our bikes. And it can stop traffic. We call it snowstorm. 2) Pictures to show new words about bad weather. 3) Finish the exercises on the book.【设计意图】利用图片和学生熟悉的声音教授生词,生动有趣,易于接受。Step3 Comic strip1) Enjoy the video and answer.T: Our friend Hobo also met bad weather. What happened to him? Lets watch a video and answer:Whats the weather like?Whats wrong with Hobos house? 2) Read the dialogue and answer:What was Hobo doing when it started to rain?Why does Hobo come to Eddies house?3) Act out.4) Fill in the blanks.【设计意图】多媒体创造的真实语境使对话更容易、更生动的呈现在学生眼前,简单的问题帮助学生建立学习的成就感和自信心,同时在轻松的气氛中训练了听说能力。Step4 Presentation1) Learn new words about natural disasters.T: Bad weather sometimes bring natural disasters.thunder and lightening fire (forest fire)rainstorm floodnatural disasters: earthquake, drought, tsunami, tornado, sandstorm, landslide2) Match the natural disasters with the big problems.T: What big problems will natural disasters cause?3) Group work.T: Natural disasters often happen in the world. (They are caused by nature.)But there are some other disasters. Such as a car accident. Is it caused by nature? We also call it man-made disaster.Can you tell me the difference between natural disasters and accidents?【设计意图】拓展内容贴近实际、贴近生活,达到了学英语、用英语的目的,同时为后面的活动打下铺垫,创设氛围,提供素材。Step5 Production1) Natural disasters or accidents.2) Watch a video and discuss: What can we do to reduce natural disasters?【设计意图】唤起学生保护环境、守卫地球的意识。Step6 Homework1) Choose one kind of natural disasters to describe.2) Prepare for Reading:教学设计评析本节课是8A Unit 6 Natural disaster 的第一课时Comic strip & Welcome to the unit的部分。教学中以简洁而有趣的对话引出本单元“自然灾害”的话题,并通过热身唤起学生的学习热情,引导学生学会自救,从而激发学生珍爱、保护地球的意识。教学设计真实贴切,合理自然,主要体现在以下几个方面。1.教学理念先进本课中,教师以新课程理念为指导,以满足学生的学习需要,促进学生的发展为课堂教学的为指向,坚持以人为本,以学生发展为主体,教师充分扮演了一个组织者、引导者和合作者的角色。课堂教学目标不仅指向知识与能力,而且指向过程与方法,情感态度和价值观。教学中,以“自然灾害”为话题,通过图片和视频,让学生学会了本课的词和短语,明白了the difference between bad weather and natural disasters.满足了学生的学习需要。通过老师的引领Can you tell me the difference between natural disasters and accidents? What can we do to reduce natural disasters ?通过学生的参与讨论,使本课的情感目标得以达成。2.教学思路清晰为了帮助学生构建和完善认知结构,教师积极鼓励学生参与并设计英语教学活动,包括思维参与和行为参与。通过感知、体验、实践、合作等方式实现任务目标。同时,在教学过程中,教师不断地进行情感和策略上的调整,帮助学生形成积极的学习态度,促进语言实际应用能力的提高。课堂导入新颖自然,通过播放视频资料,展现了地球神奇的魅力,使学生耳目一新,充满期待,接下来,老师从天气着手,层层深入,知识点的教学由易到难,由浅入深。由rain -rainstorm-bad weather-Comic strip对话的学习 ,通过ask and answer ,read and act out ,fill in the blanks等各种教学手段,成功完成上半部分内容的学习。再由bad weather-natural disaster的过渡,顺理成章,通过Group work 让学生进行合作学习,通过生生互动,师生互动,参与实践,体验感知,最终获得成功的体验。整堂课学生身心愉悦,学习主动而积极,学习效果明显。3.教学手段合理本节课充分运用现代化的教学手段,广泛运用网络资源,拓宽学生学习渠道,改进学生学习方式,大大提高了教学效果。无论是一段段视频呈现
