Unit 8 When is your birthday?Section A 1a-1c教学设计 分水中学 郭佳一教学目标:1. 语言知识目标:1)能掌握下列词汇:when, January, February, March, April, May, June, July, August, September, October, November, December 2)了解序数词的构成及能用英语正确的表达日期(the dates)。3) 能掌握以下句型: When is your birthday? My birthday is on October 2nd. Its on September 5th. 4) 能通过谈论自己、同学以及父母家人的生日,理解生日更多的含义。2. 情感态度价值观目标:该部分的学习内容贴近学生的生活,谈论的话题是生日。通过互相询问生日的日期,可以增进同学之间的了解和友情并学会在英语交流中注意他人的情感。并学会感恩父母,老师和身边的朋友!二、教学重难点1. 教学重点:1) 询问表达他人、自己及父母家人的生日日期。2) 理解序数词的构成方法,掌握日期的表达方式。3)就生日聚会这一话题分角色表演对话。2. 教学难点:1) 能够用英语询问表达他人、自己及父母家人的生日。 三、教学过程Step 1: Self-introduction and Greeting.(自我介绍及问候) T: Good morning,everyone!My names Guo Jia. My English name is Smile.Im your English teacher today, You can call me Smile.T:Hello,boys and girls.Ss:Hello,SmileT:Nice to meet you!Ss:Nice to meet you ,too.Step 2: Warming- up .T:Whats this?Ss:Its a birthday cake.(由一个生日蛋糕引出话题,然后呈现我女儿过生的图片,引出课题,教月份的单词.)T:Can you guess ?Who is she ?Today is her birthday,Its in December.When is your birthday? Today,Were going to learn Unit 8 When is your birthday?(Let Ss read after me.)(黑板板书课题,并教读)T:Do you want to know what you are learning today?Lets read together.(展示学习目标) Before the class,there is a task for you,there are 4 groups in our class,the first group is Spring. you must collect 12 months by answering my question.If your group has 12 months,there will be a surprise for you.Are you ready to have the class? Step 3: Presentation (1) Show the months of the year. (2) T: Can you say the numbers from 1 to 31 in English? I say one ,you all say two.then ask one student says three,others say four.(学生复习数字1到31) Step 3: Lead-in(1)T: There are four groups in our class, Here is the first group-Spring(展示第一的图片,引出序数词并教读,用同样的方法引出second, third,fourth)T:I say one. The Ss say first.1) Then read the ordinal numbers.(然后请学生教读5-10的序数词,充当小老师,不对的地方老师纠正.)2) Read 11th-31st in your groups.(每个小组读五个,老师纠正读音.)Step4:Presentation (1)Discuss and find out the rules together.(让小组讨论完成展示在屏幕上的规则表,进行填空。并随着节拍一起齐读.培养合作探究能力.)(2)Play a game. Find out the missing numbers in the calendar.(抽同学找到缺失的单词,并进行鼓励及奖励) Task 1: T: There is a question for you: How many months are there in a year? And do you know the first month of a year?(教读新单词month) Ss: 12 months./ The first month of year is January.(引出表示月份的新单词进行教读)Task 2: Play a game T:January is one of my friends,I have twelve friends, can you guess? Who are they? They are January、February、. they want to go home. If you know, please stand up and read the word, then teach the other students.(read twice)(由帮助月份找家,并请小老师进行带读,激发学生们的兴趣,进行月份单词的巩固.)Task 3:1a (Listen and repeat.)Task 4: Pair work. Say the dates in pairs. Then check the answers one by one.Teacher shows a picture to the students(老师展示自己的一张照片引出自己的生日,并展示重点句型,教读句子提出问题)T:My birthday is on September13th. When is your birthday?(把重点句型板书在黑板上,并抽2个同学示范作答)Task 5: 1b and 1c.T:Do you want to know Linda、Mary and Mikes birthday?Lets listen and number the conversations 1 to 3 in 1b.Practice the conversations with your partner.Then check the answers(两人一组练习对话并订正答案)Task 6: Group work. Ask and answer in groups one by one. S1: When is your birthday?S2:My birthday is on May 1st.T:T:If your birthday is in December,please stand up to come here,Lets sing “Happy birthday to you” for you.(小组对话接龙,找出12月份生日的同学站起来,大家一起为他们唱生日歌.)Step5:Do the exercises.(每一组选二个礼物盒子打开,里面有习题、祝你好运等收集月份.)Step6: Summary.(课堂小结)The new words, the ordinal numbers and the sentences.Step7: Activity. Show your love to your parents, teachers and your friends.(观看视频,老师朗诵英语诗歌,对学生进行情感教育,学会感恩父母,家人,老师以及身边的朋友) T:Thanks for doing much for me, You give me life and love, My happiness is around you.
