Show a picture on the screen. Then have a free talk with the students: Look! Whats this? What is the little elephant doing? Is he happy? Do you like playing soccer? Do you have a soccer ball?2. Watch a video. Then ask：What can you see in the video? What are they doing? How do they feel?3. Lead in to the new word “fun”.4. Show some more pictures. Help students to describe these pictures with a word, such as “interesting, boring, difficult, relaxing.”5. Read the new words following the teacher. Then try to read them by themselves.6. Play a game: Give the students only one minute. Ask them to recite the new words, not only the Chinese meanings, but also the English names.Step 2 Presentation1. Call attention to the pictures in Activity 1a. Then match the words with the pictures.2. Check the answers.3. Read the words together. Then listen to the tape and check the words they hear in 1a.4. Play the recorder again. Listen to it sentence by sentence and check the answers.5. Show some pictures of different kinds of sports.
