Unit 7 What is the highest mountain in the world?Section A蚌埠高新教育集团实验中学 丁辰 教材分析本单元Section A主要内容围绕地理知识展开,集中呈现了大数字的读法和表示度量的结构,并进一步拓展了比较级和最高级的使用。 教学目标【语言知识目标】1) 学会运用本单元单词:in size, in the world, square , desert, 2 meters tall/long/wide/deep, the biggest desert, achievement , thick, include, condition, succeed, achieve, force, nature, in the face of, take in2)能运用本单元以下句型:A:Whats the highest mountain in the world?B:Qomolangma.A:How high is Qomolangma?B:Its 8,844.43 meters high. Its higher than any other mountain. The Caspian Sea is the deepest of all the salt lake.A: Did you know that China is one of the oldest countries in the world ?B: Yes , I did .Its much older than the US.【能力目标】通过学习,能够听懂用比较级和最高级来讨论世界之最;掌握和运用新单词和短语来描述珠穆朗玛的相关地理知识。【情感目标】通过学习培养学生热爱大自然,保护环境的意识;通过对珠穆朗玛的相关地理知识的学习,培养学生热爱大自然和遇到困难永不言弃的拼搏精神。通过谈论熊猫,教会学生热爱动物,保护动物。 教学重难点【教学重点】1. 学习较大数字的表述。2. 学会用不同句式表达比较级、最高级。【教学难点】 教学准备形容词比较级、最高级的不同表达句式,如higher then any other mountain, a lot bigger than,almost as big as等。学生需要大量的口头练习对比,才能把握目标语言并达到熟练运用 。Multimedia 教学过程Step 1. Warming-up and lead-in询问学生最喜欢的学科,向学生介绍自己最喜欢的学科是地理。What is your favorite subject?Can you guess what my favorite subject is?Step 2. Presentation1. Show some pictures of the four interest places.2. 1a Match the facts with the places.Step 3. Listening1. Talk about the facts of the places.2. Listen to 1b and complete the sentences.3.
