摘要 随着国际文化交往日趋频繁，翻译研究也向文化方向倾斜。归化和异化这对 与文化因素密切相联的翻译策略成为当前翻译赛讨论最多的话题之一。本文将翻 译研究的切入点从语言层面扩展到文化层面，在对语言、文化、翻译三者关系的 分析中，提出一定阶段翻译对文化转化有一定的推动作用。本文以五四前后中国 出现的第三次翻译高潮为时代背景，讨论了不同翻译策略的采用对文化转化的客 观影响。本文共分四部分： 第一部分讨论了文化、语言、翻译三者的关系，以及中国古代佛经翻译对中 国语言文化的影响，介绍了本文研究的范围、方法以及文章所采用的异化归纯概 念。 第二部分详述了五四时期的归化异化之争，t 介绍了新文化运动的历史背景， ；王鲁迅和梁实秋为代表的直译意译之争以及该时期运用异化翻译形式： 第三部分是本文的重点，以词汇、习语、句法、文化等四个层次入手分析异 化翻译在实践中慰目的语语言和文化的补充。
