摘要 作为一名杰出的华裔美国作家，谭恩美对华裔美国文学做出了巨大贡献。她 的第一部小说喜福会是她最成功的作品，自出版之日起就引起了普通读者和 评论家的广泛关注。综述喜福会的研究现状后，我们发现，虽然众多评论家 致力于从文化角度来解读这部小说，然而他们的批评大多聚焦于中美文化之间的 冲突对立，很少有人洞悉其中的文化交流现象，将多元文化主义与小说联系起来 的人更是寥寥无几。本论文旨在揭示喜福会中的多元文化主义思想，以阐明 其促进多元文化发展的重要价值。 本论文分为四章。第一章简要介绍谭恩美和喜福会、国内外有关这部作 品的研究现状和本论文的研究计划。第二章主要介绍多元文化主义的形成、基本 内涵和谭恩美的多元文化思想。在当今全球化趋势中，美国作为一个拥有多种文 化的多民族国家，国内各文化间的频繁交流与合作已逐渐打破由来已久的“熔炉” 式文化霸权，多种文化“和而不同”的多元文化思想应运而生。成长于多文化环 境中的华裔美国作家成了多元文化思想在文学领域的开路先锋，谭恩美是其中的 杰出代表。第三章是论文的核心，主要从以下角度分析谭恩美的多元文化思想在 喜福会中的表现。首先，谭恩美构想了“喜福会”这一机制，为小说中两代 华裔美国人两种文化身份之间的交流和沟通提供场所。其次，通过塑造四位移民 母亲，颠覆了西方文化对中国女性的刻板描写，呈现了不同文化背景下的真实人 物形象。多元文化思想的表现还体现在谭恩美与众不同的叙述策略上，包括独特 的叙述语言和小说形式。语言上，谭恩美采用英语和汉语的混合体来充分体现华 裔美国人的双重文化身份。形式上，谭恩美综合吸收西方文学传统中的故事环结 构和中国传统的讲故事方式，呈现出独特的叙述形式。这些创作手法体现了中美
