Initiative 1) n. the ability to make decisions and take action without asking for the help or advice of others.主动性 e. g. I wish my son should show a bit more initiative. The government is making some fresh initiatives to try to solve the dispute. 3) n. the position of being able to take action or influence events.(与the连用)主动权 e. g. Describe Ones Occupation(描述某人的职业) 1.1 Expressions presented in this part can be used to describe ones job and job-related experiences, but dont forget that its often considered to be impolite or even rude to inquire about a persons income directly. In some corporate cultures, employees are not allowed to compare and exchange information about salaries, rewards, bonuses, or other benefits they receive respectively. A probe into the details of ones work responsibilities is also prohibitive in most cases. But for most young job starters, to learn something about the job they are going to take is essential for them to avoid job-hopping later: Is this job at the right level for you? Are you going to be proud of what you are doing? Are you earning less than others in the same position? You may approach friends, relatives or career advisors for such information. Its also a good idea to explore further into a certain job position at the interview.
