What can we do to change the situation?,Author Anna Marie Quindlen,Author,Anna Marie Quindlen (born July 8, 1952) is an American author, journalist, and opinion columnist whose New York Times column, Public and Private, won the Pulitzer Prize for Commentary in 1992. She began her journalism career in 1974 as a reporter for the New York Post. Born in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania to an Irish father and an Italian mother, Quindlen graduated in 1970 from South Brunswick High School in South Brunswick, New Jersey.,Quindlen graduated from Barnard College in New York City in 1974; Quindlen is married to Gerald Krovatin, an attorney; they have three children. She lives with her family in New York City. She has written five best-selling novels, three of which have been made into movies.
