小学英语课堂是否应该〃全英化〃教学?

随着新课标的推行,全英课堂教学慢慢成为一种趋势和必然。纵

观现在大大小小的英语公开课,都会使用全英教学。这似乎变成了一

项大家约定俗成的基本要求。新课标的推行已经有几年了,全英教学

模式这一改革到底是否适应我们的小学英语课堂呢?是否全英一直都

是我的一个困惑。究竟该如何取得一个平衡点呢?

-在小学课堂中使用全英教学,迫使教师专业水平的提高。提倡

全英教学,就要求小学英语教师必须有过硬的专业知识水平。学生才

能从简单的语言知识的传授,向语言知识与语言技能并重中转变。也

就是说不是单纯地停留在只知道这个英文句子的意思,还能在实际生

活中运用。可是我们的学生尤其是广大农村的学生真的具备这个能力

吗?如果教师一堂课全用英语,学生能够跟上教师的节奏吗?针对这

个问题,我在学生中试着做过一个小调查,大部分学生表示如果老师

用全英自己会感觉很困难。

在一个班级中,中等生和后进生占半数。根据我个人的经验所得,

这部分学生的学习特点:

(1)知识基础相对薄弱或不扎实,对新知识的掌握反应较慢。

(2)遇到不懂的知识,不主动向老师提出。(3)课堂上,注意力持

续时间不长。

从这我们不难看出,在课堂上迷信地使用全英教学,容易造成中

等生和后进生由于听不明白,使其注意力不能集中,完成不了课堂上

的学习任务。加之课后他们遇到不懂的知识通常会选择自己随便写上

答案,也不会主动请教老师。使得他们掌握知识越发困难,最后可能

甚至失去学习英语的兴趣,这样的一个恶性循环。

另外,全英教学,容易造成教学资源的浪费。初学英语者,尤其

是小学生,在课堂上所听所学的内容应该是比较固定,如出现过多学

生不理解的英语句子和单词,会造成他们的混淆或对所学知识的大量

遗忘。其实课堂很多知识性的解释用汉语一说就懂了,可是你用英语

又是动作又是图画,搞得满头大汗也不见得能说明白。这样不但把有

限的课堂时间白白地浪费掉,而且精心准备的教学资源也发挥不出其

作用。最后,过分迷信全英教学,容易流于形式。我们大部分教师平

时上课是很难做到全英教学的,可一到公开课就会刻意用全英指令,

可是我们会很明显的发现很多学生对老师的指令变得手足无措当然并

非每个人都会这样,有人就能很流利地用英语上好一节课,学生也能

配合得很好。但个别成功的公开课并不能说明这种教学手段的有效性,

应该更多地关注大部分群体他们平时是如何做。一味地强调全英教学

是否现实。加上小学是学生母语学习和规范的阶段,尤其是中低年龄

段的学生,完全用另外一种语言传授知识,恐怕他们会变得迷茫。所

以说太过迷信全英教学,会使其容易流于形式。

其实推行英语教学,为学生营造语言环境,老师是支持的,这也是

大势所趋。但不见得适合所有年龄阶段的孩子。因为全英教学的开展

需要一个过程,应该考虑在刚接触英语的中低年级学生,教师可以用

汉语教学;随着年龄的增大到高年级左右,视乎学校本身的条件,实

施半英语或全英语教学。

高中英语教学案例一.教材分析

本单元以Ahealthylife为话题,通过谈论人们最关心的健康问题,

使学生认识到吸烟、喝酒、吸毒、不良饮食等对健康的危害,了解吸

烟的危害及怎样戒烟;通过阅读一篇有关艾滋病的宣传文章了解一些

艾滋病的常识及如何预防艾滋病;并学会如何就健康问题给别人提供

一些建议;功能句式要求学生学会如何表达聚会中的礼仪和禁忌。通

过单元学习,要求学生意识到健康的重要性,养成良好的生活习惯,

并学会帮助别人解决一些健康问题。
