Theresearchersfoundthatlossofcontrolonlandingortakeoffwasthe
mostcommoncircumstanceforbothsexes,leadingto59percentoffemalepilots,
crashesand36percentofmales1.Experiencingmechanicalfailure,running
outoffuel,andlandingtheplanewiththelandinggearupwereamongthe
