第八讲：连词

专题概述：

连词连接词与词、词组与词组或句子的桥梁。它是英语单词、词组和句子的逻辑符号，属于并列关系的词、

词组、句子由并列连词连接，而从属连词用采连接两个有主从关系的句子。

语法考点：

1.并列连词：并列连词用来连接平行的词、短语或句子；并列连词按照其在句中的作用可分为表示并列关

系、转折关系、选择关系和因果关系的连词。

2.从属连词：从属连词是用来引导从句的词。

连词（Conjunction）

是一种虚词，它不能独立担任句子成分而只起连接词与词，短语与短语以及句与句的作用。连词主要可分

为4类:并列连词.转折连词.选择连词和因果连词。连词也可以分为2类:并列连词和从属连词。

表示并列关系的并列连词

and（和；又；而且）,aswellas（也；和）;both...and...（既...又....）；notonly...butalso...（不仅....而

且...）；neither...nor...（既不....也不....）。

连词用法例句

表示转折关系的并列连词

【注意】

1.although或though在引导让步状语从句时，主句不可使用转折连词but,但是可以使用yet或stillo

2.however意为"然而，不过”，可放在句首、句中或句末，不能像but那样直接连接两个句子，常用逗

号与句子其他部分隔开。

连词意义例句

for推测性的理由，不能置于两个并列分

句的句首，只能放在两个分句的中间。昨晚一定下雨了，因为地面是湿的0

从属连词的用法

从属连词用法及例句

用于引导宾语从句，引导从句时无意义，常省略。

他告诉我说他不会迟到的。

可用于引导让步状语从句，though/allhough不能与but连用。

though/although（虽然，尽管），Thoughhehasacold,hestillgoestoschool.

evenif/though（即使）=Hehasacold,buthestillgoestowork.

尽管他感冒了，他仍然去上学了。

可用于引导宾语从句，不可省略。

if,whether（...ornot）（是否）Idon'tknowwhetheritwillrainornottoday.

if（如果），引导条件状语从句。

aslongas（只要）尽管他年龄很大，他仍然自学英语。

because（因为）,用于引导原因状语从句。

since（由于，既然）我不想外出因为我太累了。

可用于引导结果状语从句。

so...that,such...that

连词意义例句

表示造成某种情况的直接原因，语气最强，常用来回答由Hehastoleavebecauseitistoolate.

because

why引导的问句，其从句的位置通常在主句的后面。因为太晚了，他不得不走。

since语气比as稍强，不表示直接的或根本的原因，而是Sinceeveryoneishere,let'sstart.

since一种已知的或非常显然的理由，since引导的从句通常位

于主句之前。既然大家到齐了，我们就出发吧！
