So,IdidThesafethingandgotanofficejob——TheverythingIwassurethatIdidn’twanttodo!IdetestedTheofficepolicies,ThesuitsIhadtowearandThedowntownenvironmentthatIhadtodrivetoeveryday.IknewthiswasnotwhereIbelonged.

Butgodknewwhatpathmycareerwastofollow.ApositionopenedupatThemostexclusivehealthclubinourcity,soIapplied.Thiswasmykindofenvironment——anactive,vibrantkindofplace——completelyatTheoppositeendofThespectrumfromTheofficeenvironmentwhereIfoundmyself.ThepositionrequiredthatIworkSaturdaynightsandSundaymornings.Perfect,Ithought!IcouldkeepmyofficejobMondaythroughFridayandworkatmydreamjobonTheweekends.Thisarrangementlastedseveralmonthsuntil,eventually,afull-timepositionopenedupandIwasabletoresignfrommyofficejob.
