通知一般由标题、正文和结尾三部分组成。标题部分包括常用标题语和发出通知的单位名称;正文包括事情、通知对象、要求、时间(有时还包括地点)等;结尾部分主要包括发通知的具体日期。英文通知的格式一般是将NOTICE(每个字母都大写)写在通知正文上面一行的正中间。发出通知的单位名称可以写在NOTICE上面，也可以写在通知正文的右下角;发通知的日期一般写在通知正文的左下角。书面通知的格式如图所示：

三、通知的书写

1.发出通知的单位和对象在一般情况下用第三人称，如要求同学们按时到会，不说“Wemustto…”或“Youshould…”，而应写成：Allthestudentsarerequestedtobethereontime.

2.在语言上，口头通知的句型应该做到口语化，多用简单句和祈使句，语言上尽可能用精炼的文字表达明确的信息。通知中提及的事情都是计划要做的，时态多用将来时，语态多用被动式。

在句式上，常以“Boysandgirls/Ladiesandgentlemen”等作为称呼语。开头常用句式是“MayIhaveyourattention，please?/Attention，please./I'vegotsome-thingimportanttosay./I'mverygladtotellyouthat.../Pleasebequiet,everyone!Ihavesomethingtosay./Ihavesomegoodnewsforyou!/Therewillbeatalktomorrow./Thesportsmeetingwillbeheld.../Ithasbeendecidedthatwe'llpayavisitto…”，在通知结尾处常用句式“Pleasebethereontime”并以“That'sall.Thankyou”作为客套结束语。

3.书面通知常以布告形式张贴或写在布告牌、黑板上，把事情通知到有关人员等。为醒目起见，标题地每个字母可以用大写(如NOTICE)。一开头需要交代说明何事(what)、何地(where)、何时(when)、何人(who)。

4.在句式写法上必须注意以下几点：①尽可能用精炼地文字表达明确地信息，多用简单句或短句、单句，以避免繁杂;②通知往往着重对活动内容、对象进行说明，多用被动语态，如“Theclassmeetingwillbeheld…”(班会将举行……)等等;③通知是要求下级成员该做什么或注意什么，多用祈使句;④通知中所告地事情大部分是未进行地，故多用将来时态。

简而言之，一份好地书面通知应具备以下三点：

1.四多一少。四多：被动语态多，将来时态多，简单句多，祈使句多。一少：修饰性词语少。

2.通知的开头要交代清楚活动的内容、对象、时间和地点。我们称之为四

“W”。即：what，who，when，where.

3.层次清晰。一个层次表达一件事，切忌在一个句子中表达多件事情。
