reply与answer①reply与answer表示“回答”时都可以用作名词和动词。②answer较常用;reply较正式,表示经过思考后答复。③answer作名词时,意为“答案”,而reply作名词时意为“回复;答复”,不作“答案”解。answer作动词时,后面可直接接宾语,如:answeraquestion,answerthetelephone,而reply接宾语时须与to连用,如replyto(sb./sth.),表示“对……做出回答”。④answer可表示对电话、敲门等做出“应答”,reply则不能。(2)“in+一段时间”用于一般将来时,表示“一段时间之后”。
