3.poetryn.诗,诗意,诗情

辨析poetry,poem,verse,prose,poesy,longsandshorts

poetry是诗的集合名词,是诗的总称,不指具体的一首诗,为不可数名词;poemn.诗,

像诗一样美丽的东西。它的意义较确切,指一首诗或韵文、诗体文;versen.韵文,诗,

诗句,诗篇,;词义较为广泛,,它与prose(散文)相对;poesyn.作诗法,诗歌;longsand

shorts诗,如:

11.salaryn.薪水vt.给..加薪

辨析:salary,pay,wages,fee,income,pension

salary指非体力劳动雇员所得的薪金、薪水,一般按月计算:payn.薪水,工资,军

饷。凡是劳动所得的工资都可用pay表示;另外,pay特指军人所得报酬。wages多指体力

劳动或服务业人员所得的工资,一般以小时、日或星期计算。fee一般指律师、医生或学校

所收的费用。Income一般指正常工作或投资的收入。pension指公司或政府所付的红利。如:

医生的工资应该更高些吗?

12.satisfactionn.满意,满足;令人满意的事物

satisfyvt.使满意,使高兴;使满足;满足(需要,欲望等);符合,达到(要求,标

准等)

satisfactoryadj.令人满意的;符合要求的;良好的

他们演奏音乐满足自己的心理需求。

13.dowith与dealwith

dowith与疑问词what连用,且不用被动语态,表“容忍”时,与情态动词连用。deal

with表示“对待;处理”与dowith互换。是dealwith与疑问词how连用。

14.haveadifficulttimegettingthere类似结构

haveadifficulttimedoingsomething干某事困难,费力类似的短语有:

haveahard(good)time(in)doingsomethinghavetrouble(in)doing

something

havedifficulty(in)doingsomethinghaveproblems(in)doingsomething

等等。此类短语中的in都可以省略。

15.occur>takeplace和happen的区另ij

happenoccur指偶然发生的或未经筹划的事件;occur比happen要更为正式。如:

Theaccidenthappened/occurredatabout9:30.这次事故发生在大约九点半钟。

happen也可以指某件事是由另一件事引起的。如:

Whathappenedwhenyoutoldhimthenews?你告诉他这个消息时怎么了?

takeplace指事情是有计划的,“举行,发生”如:

Thecontesttookplaceon24,April.这个竞赛是4月24号举行的。

GreatchangeshavetakenplaceinChina.中国已经发生了极大的变化。

短语occurtosomebody想到;想起。如:
