greatestinfluencehascomefromguidingstudenttrainers,whosince1992have

workedthroughaschoolclubwith170dogsthatendedupindifferentserviceposts.

Theyspend14monthswitheachdogteachingthemskills.Thedogslivefull-time

withthestudents,attendingtheirclassesandfieldtripstobecomesocialized.

ThedogsthengototrainersemployedbyGuideDogsfortheBlind,an

organizationthatpartnerswiththeprogram,beforegraduatingandbeingpairedwith

two-leggedcompanions.Thosethataren'tuptothedifficulttaskofhelpingtheblind

canbecomeotherkindsofserviceanimals.Oftenstudentsattendthegraduationsand
