theorganizationtookplaceinMilan,Italy,whichgathered36internationaluniversityofficialsand

expertsfromaroundtheworldtodetenninenextstepsfbradvancingGCPCH'smission(使命).

Duringthemeeting,expertsandofficialsdeterminedthatthemissionofGCPCHistoshare

knowledgeandtopromoterelationshipsbetweenthepartiesthatseektoprotectvariousformsof

culturalheritageworldwide.Morespecifically,GCPCHwillcreateamapofeducationprograms

andfieldexperiences,researchprojects,andfundingsources.

Poachersprimarilyoperateat.nightundercoverofdarkness,gettingintoparksandreserves

withoutbeingnoticed.Somearekillingwildlifeforpersonalprofit,whileothersarearmedand

communityrangershavenochanceofstoppingthem.

hascompletelychangedthewayrangesoperateatnight.Sincetheybegantousethecamerain

2016,thereserveofLakeNakuruhasnothadanyelephantspoachedoverthepast6years.In

Kenya's580-square-mileMaasaiMaraNationalReserve,long-rangethermalcamerasmountedon

rangingvehiclesallowedrangerstosetupmobileoutpostswherepoachersmayappear.Since

2016,MaraConservancyrangershavecaughtmorethan300poacherswiththehelpofthe

camera.
