Theairplaneconditionmonitoringfunction(ACMF)isasoftwareapplicationinacommoncomputingresource(CCR)cabinetgeneralprocessormodule(GPM).

ThesesoftwarecomponentsarenecessaryfortheACMFtooperate:AnACMFpartition(1)-inoneGPMinaCCRcabinet

Theairlinemodifiableinformation(AMI)(1)-inthesameGPMastheACMFpartition

Adatagatheringapplication(DGA)partition(16)-oneineachGPMTheportmappingtable(PMT)(16)-oneineachGPM.

TheACMFstartsautomaticallywhenpowerisappliedtotheairplaneandtotheCCRcabinets.TheAMIgivesinstructionstotheACMF.TheACMFsendinstructionstothedatagatheringapplications(DGA)forwhatairplanedatatorecordandwhentorecord.Dataiscollectedandstoredusinglogicequationsprogrammedtodetectconditions.Examplesareenginelimitexceedances,failures,andotherairlinespecifieddirection.TheDGAsineachGPMgetthedatathroughremotedataconcentrators(RDC)andthecommondatanetwork(CDN).TheACMFreceivesairplanedatafromtheDGAs.TheACMFusestheinstructionsfromtheAMItomakereports,howtoformatthereportsandwheretosendthereportsforoutput.

DataReportingMode

UsingthedefinitionsinthesoftwareandAMI,theACMFmakesreportsandsendsthemtopre-determinedoutputs,suchastheflightdeckprinter,ortothegroundwithACARS.

ContinuousParameterLogging(CPL)Function

Continuouslyrecordeddata,definedbytheAMIisstoredinacorenetworkmassstoragedeviceforlaterdownloading.Thisisanindependantfunction,controlledbytheACMFapplication.TheAMIdefineswhichparametersaretoberecorded,whentherecordingstartsandstops,andwherethedataistobestored.CPLdoesnotmakereports,itisrawdatathatisdownloadedandprocessedwithaARINC767DataAnalyzer.
