wentovertotheworkmenandtoldthemthatifa

policemanorderedthemtogoaway,theywerenottotake

onpeople.Boththepoliceandtheworkmenweregrateful

tothestudentforthispieceofadvanceinformation.

apolicemanarrivedonthesceneandpolitelyaskedthe

workmentogoaway.Whenhereceivedaveryrudereply

fromoneoftheworkmen,hethreatenedtoremovethem

Pretendingtospeakseriously,oneoftheworkmenasked

ifhemightmakeatelephonecallbeforebeingtaken

tothestation.Permissionwasgrantedandapoliceman

accompaniedhimtoapayphone.Onlywhenhesawthat

themanwasactuallytelephoningthepolicedidhe

realizethattheyhadallbeenthevictimsofahoax.
