1Scope

ThisStandardspecifiesthedesign,manufacture,factoryassembly,inspectionmethods,inspection

rules,aswellasmarking,packaging,qualitycertificates,storageandtransportationofrailexpansion

jointsofmixedpassengerandfreightrailway.

ThisStandardisapplicabletorailexpansionjointsofmixedpassengerandfreightrailwayswith

trackgaugeof1435mm(hereinafterreferredtoasREJ).

3TermsandDefinitions

Forthepurposesofthisdocument,thetermsanddefinitionsdefinedinTB/T3401apply.

4Design

4.1

TheREJshallbedesignedwithastructurecomprisingafixedswitchrailandmovablestockrail

forexpansion/contraction.Thevariationoftrackgaugeduringstockrailexpansion/contractionshall

bewithin±2mm.

4.2

Theexpansion/contractionlimitofREJshallnotbelessthanthesumoftheannualmaximum

variationandtheallowance(±100mm)ofthenearestbeamjoint,andtheminimumexpansion/

contractionshouldbe±200mm.

4.3

ThestockrailoftheREJshouldbelengthenedappropriatelyaccordingtothelineconditions,so

thatitcanextendbeyondbeamjoints,andthedistancefromthefrontendofstockrailandthepointof

switchrailtotheedgeofthenearestbeamjointshallallnotbelessthan2m.

4.4

Ifabeamexpansionjoint(BEJ)isprovidedatthebeamend,theREJ,complyingwiththe

requirementsin4.3,shallbedesignedincoordinationwiththeBEJ,beamendballastretainingwall,

etc..

4.5

Specialfastenersshallbeusedasstockrailfastenersfromthepointofswitchrailtothenearest

beamjoint.

4.6

ThepointofREJswitchrailshallbeofconcealedtypewithitsconcealedamountlessthan

3mm.Thecuttinglineofthenon-runningsurfaceoftheswitchrailheadshallnotbeastraightlineor

brokenline.

4.7

TheminimumadjustmentrangeoftheREJtrackgaugeshallbe±14mm.Theheightadjustment

amountoftheREJforballastedtrackshallnotbelessthan10mm,andtheminimumheight

adjustmentoftheREJforballastlesstrackshallrangefrom-3mmto+15mm.

4.8

Theexpansion/contractionresistanceofthestockrailandswitchrailshallcomplywithTable1.

5Manufacture

5.1GeneralRequirements

5.1.1

TheREJsshallbemanufacturedaccordingtothedesigndrawingsandthisstandard.

5.1.2

Ifnotincludedinthisstandardornotindicatedinthedesigndrawings,thedimensional

deviationsofmachinedpartsshallcomplywiththeC-classrequirementsinGB/T1804-2000,the

geometricaldeviationsshallcomplywiththeL-classrequirementsinGB/T1184-1996,andthe

dimensionaldeviationsofcastingsshallcomplywithCT9requirementsinGB/T6414-1999.

5.2Rails

5.2.1

Therawmaterialsshallcomplywiththefollowingrequirements:

a)ThestockrailshallcomplywithTB/T2344;

b)TheswitchrailshallcomplywithTB/T3109;

c)Thestockrailandswitchrailshallmadefromthesamerailasthesectiontrack;

d)Allprotrudingmarksontherailwebwherethestockrailfitswiththerailbrace,andthe

protrudingmarksontherailwebaffectingthefittingoftheswitchrailwiththerailbrace

shallbegroundoff;

e)Thestockrailandswitchrailshallbemadefromintegralholelessrails.

5.2.2

ThetoleranceoftheraillengthshallcomplywithTable2.

Thegeometricaldeviationshallcomplywiththefollowingrequirements:

a)Theclosureedgebetweenthestockrailandtheswitchrailshallbesmoothandround

withouthardbending;

c)Theverticalityofrailendsurfaceshallbe1mm.

5.2.5

Thestockrailshallcomplywiththefollowingrequirements:

a)Thestockrailshallbemanufacturedwithon-lineheat-treatedrails;

b)Theinitialexpansion/contractionpositionofREJshallbemarkedonthestockrailaccording

tothedesign;

c)Themachiningsurfaceshallbegreased.

5.2.6

Theswitchrailshallcomplywiththefollowingrequirements:

a)Theswitchrailshallbemanufacturedwithon-lineheat-treatedrails;

b)Thedimensionsoftheforgedheeloftheswitchrailshallcomplywiththedesignrequirements;

c)Theforging,pressingandmachiningoftheheeloftheswitchrailshallcomplywithTB/T412;

d)Themachiningsurfaceshallbegreased.

5.3CouplingParts

5.3.1

Theironbaseplateshallcomplywiththefollowingrequirements:

a)Therawmaterialsoftheironbaseplateshallmeetthedesignrequirements.

b)Thetoleranceofinclinationofrailcantontheironbaseplateshallbe±1∶320,andthe

bottomflatnessshallbe0.8mm.ThetoleranceofdimensionsshallcomplywithTable5.

orburroneachsurfaceoftheironbaseplate.

g)Theironbaseplateshallbetreatedwithrustprevention.

5.3.2

Thestaticstiffnessandthedimensionaltoleranceoftheresilientpadshallcomplywiththe

designrequirements.ThephysicalpropertiesofrubbershallcomplywithTB/T3395.4.

5.3.3

Thecouplingfastenersfortheironbaseplateshallcomplywiththefollowingrequirements:

a)TheembeddedsleeveshallcomplywithTB/T3307.7;

b)TheironbaseplateboltsshallcomplywithTB/T3307.3.

5.3.4

Therailbraceshallcomplywiththefollowingrequirements:

a)Therailbraceshallbemadeofspheroidalgraphiteironanditsmechanicalpropertiesshall

complywithGB/T1348;

b)Theintersectionofallsurfacesoftherailbraceshallbeincirculararctransition,andthe

circulararcradiusshallbe2mmunlessotherwiseindicated.Thedimensionaltolerancesof

therailbraceshallnotbeinferiortoCT7classspecifiedinGB/T6414-1999,andshall

complywithTable6;

c)Thefittingsurfacebetweentherailbraceandthegaugeadjustmentsheetshallbesmoothened;

d)Therailbraceshallbetreatedwithrustprevention.

5.3.5

Theduplexrailbraceshallcomplywiththefollowingrequirements:

a)Theintersectionofallsurfacesoftherailbraceshallbeincirculararctransition,andthe

circulararcradiusshallbe2mmunlessotherwiseindicated.

b)Weldsshallbefreeofdenseorcontinuousporosity,slag,orobviousundercutandcraterand

shallnotlackoffusion.Thesurfaceofweldsshallbecontinuous,smoothandeven.

c)Thesurfaceshallbepainted.

5.3.6

Therailbraceboltsshouldbeofanti-looseningstructureandshallcomplywiththefollowing

requirements:

a)TherailbraceboltsshallnotbelowerthanGrade8.8,thefittingnutsshallnotbelower

thanGrade8H,andtheplainwashersshallbeofHRC35-HRC45.Othertechnical

requirementsshallcomplywithGB/T1231.

b)Thespringwashersshallmeetthedesignrequirements.

c)Theheavy-typespringwashersshallcomplywithGB/T7244.Thecastlenutsshallnotbe

lowerthanGrade8HandshallcomplywithGB/T6178.Thesplitpinsshallcomplywith

GB/T91.

d)Arrowsignsindicatingdirectionsshallbemarkedonthetopoftherailbracebolts.

e)Therailbraceboltsshallbetreatedwithrustprevention.

5.3.7

Thegaugeadjustmentsheetshallcomplywiththefollowingrequirements:

a)Whennon-metallicmaterialsareadopted,thegaugeadjustmentsheetswithathicknessof

greaterthanorequalto3mmshallbeusedandcomplywithAnnexAofTB/T3401-2015;

whenmetallicmaterialsareadopted,rust-prooftreatmentshallbecarriedout;

b)Theintersectionofallsurfacesofthegaugeadjustmentsheetshallbeincirculararc

transition,andthecirculararcradiusshallbe1mmunlessotherwiseindicated;

c)Thethicknessshallbemarkedonthesheet.

5.3.8

Theintersectionofallsurfacesofthepressingplateshallbeincirculararctransition,andthe

circulararcradiusshallbe1mmunlessotherwiseindicated.

5.3.9

Theheightadjustmentpadshallcomplywiththefollowingrequirements:

a)TheheightadjustmentpadshallcomplywithTB/T3307.9;

b)Thethicknessmarkshallbepaintedonthesurfaceoftheheightadjustmentpad.

5.3.10

Thephysicalandmechanicalpropertiesofcomponentsshallnotbedegradedaftertherust-

prooftreatment,andallmarksshallbeclear.

5.4Sleeper

5.4.1

TheboltholespacingofsleepersforREJsofballastedtrackshallmeetthedesignrequirements,and

othertechnicalrequirementsshallcomplywithTB/T3080.

5.4.2

TheboltholespacingofsleepersforREJsofballastlesstrackshallmeetthedesignrequirements,and

othertechnicalrequirementsshallcomplywithTB/T3297.

6FactoryAssembly

6.1GeneralRequirements

6.1.1

TheREJsshallbeassembledinthefactoryaccordingtotheinitialexpansion/contraction

positionofthestockrail,unlessotherwisespecifiedbytheuser.

6.1.2

REJsshallbeassembledasawholesetonaspecialplatform.

6.1.3

AftertheREJsareassembled,theexpansion/contractionresistanceofthestockrailandswitchrail

shallcomplywithTable1;thetolerancebetweenthemaximumexpansion/contractionamountand

theirdesignvaluesshallbe±10mm.

6.2AssemblyofStockRailandSwitchRail

6.2.1

Therails,railbraces,ironbaseplatesandrelatedfastenersofREJsshallbeassembledinthe

factory,andshallcomplywithTable7.

6.2.2

Greasingshallcomplywiththefollowingrequirements:

a)Drylubricantshallbeappliedtothecontactsurfacebetweentheironbaseplateandthestock

railbase,thefittingsurfacebetweenthestockrailandtherailbrace,andtheclosuresection

betweentheswitchrailheadandthestockrailhead;

b)Long-lastinggreaseshallbeappliedtotherailbraceboltsandtheelasticclipfasteningbolts;

c)Thecontactsurfacesbetweentheswitchrailandthebaseplate,aswellasbetweenthe

switchrailwebandbaseandtheswitchrailbraceshallnotbegreased,andshallbefreeof

anyoildirt.

6.3Asse
