Purpose:tohelpstudentsmatchphotosofanimalswiththeplacestheyarefrom

Directstudentstothephotos.Ask"Whataretheseanimals?"Elicitlions,atiger,akangaroo,andapanda.Ifanystudentspresentedonanyoftheseanimals,askthatstudentorthosestudentstotelltheclassabouttheanimal.Youmayskipthisstepifyoufeelstudentsarereadytodotheexercise.

Haveaworldmapready.Readthecontinentsintheexercisealoud,orhaveastudentreadthem.Toconfirmprehension,havestudentsfindthecontinentsonthemap.Thenask"Wherearetheanimalsfrom?Matchthemwiththeplaces".Monitorasstudentsmatchtheanimalswiththeplaces,offeringassistanceasneeded.Ifstudentsneedsupport,havethemworkinpairs.
