translationbehaviorfromtheperspectiveofthetranslatorandopensanewperspectiveforthestudyandpracticeoftranslation.Firstofall,skopostheoryplaysadirectroleintranslationpractice.Itenlightensustousemultiplestandardstotranslateandevaluatetranslation.Secondly,skopostheoryprovidesatheoreticalbasisforthoseoriginallyseenasviolatingtranslationcriteria,butproducessatisfactoryresults,andhastriggeredareevaluationoftranslationstrategiessuchasdeletionandchange.2.2TranslationBriefoftheSkoposTheoryLimitationsinTranslationCriticismTranslationfunctionalismforthefirsttime(functionalapproach),Theconceptof"functionaltype"isintroducedintotranslationtheoryandtextfunctionislistedasacriterionfortranslationcriticism.Sheproposedthattranslationshouldhavespecifictranslationrequirements(translationbrief)andfunctionalcriticismmodebasedonthefunctionalrelationshipbetweenprimitivesandtargetlanguages.Sometimes,becauseofspecialneeds,thetranslationrequiresdifferentfunctionsfromtheoriginaltext.Theidealtranslationshouldbeasfollows:theoriginaltextandthetargettextareequivalenttotheoriginaltextinthecontent,thelanguageformandthecommunicativefunction.ThepossibilityandlimitationoftranslationcriticismisalsoconsideredtobethestartingpointfortheformationoftheGermanfunctionalisttranslationtheory.Itisworthemphasizingthatherviewoftheoryisstillbasedonthe"equivalence"centeredontheoriginaltext,whichmeansseekingthefunctionalequivalencebetweenthetargettextandtheoriginaltext.HansFimmel(HansVermeer)theSkoposTheory(Skopostheory)astudentofRiceFimmelfurtherbrokethelimitationofequivalencetheory,getsridoftheequivalenceinthesourceoriented,thefirstcriterionintextforthepurposeoftranslationactivities,establishedthefundamentaltheoryoffunctionalism,Skopostheory.ThecoreconceptofSkopostheoryisthattranslationmethodsandstrategiesmustbedeterminedbytheintendedpurposeorfunctionofthetranslation.Accordingtothetheoryofbehavior,Fimmelputforwardthattranslation,includinginterpretationandtranslation,isakindofhumanactivityandhasthegeneralcommonalityofhumanactivities.Thisisapurposefulactivityinfluencedbyaspecificbackground.Fimmelproposedthat"translationisakindofhumanbehavior",and"anybehaviorhasapurpose","translationisakindofpurposebehavior".Therefore,translationisatext"producedforapurposeandatargetaudienceinthetargetlanguagesituation".HansVermeer(HansVermeer)proposedtheskopostheory,translationwillemergefromtheoriginalresearchcenterontheboundin.Thetheoryholdsthattranslationisapurposefulandproductiveactionbasedontheoriginaltext.Thisbehaviormustbecompletedthroughnegotiation.Thatistosay,thetranslationdependsonthepurposeoftranslation.Inaddition,translationmustfollowthe"intra-textualcoherence"and"theinterlingualcoherencerule"(inter-textualcoherence).Theformermeansthatthetranslationmustbeinternalcoherence,whichisunderstandabletotherecipientofthetranslation,andthelattermeansthatthereshouldbecoherencebetweenthetranslationandtheoriginal.Afterthesethreeprinciplesareputforward,thecriterionforjudgingtranslationisnolonger"equivalence",buttheadequacyofthetranslatedversiontoachievethedesiredgoal.Vermeeralsoproposedtheconceptoftranslationappointment,thatis,thetranslatorshoulddecidewhether,when,andhowtoaccomplishthetaskoftranslation.Thatistosay,translatorsshouldadoptcorrespondingtranslationstrategiesaccordingtodifferenttranslationpurposes,andhavetherighttodecidewhatcontentscanberetainedandwhatneedstobeadjustedormodifiedaccordingtothepurposeoftranslation.Fimmelbelievesthatthehighestlawintranslationshouldbethe"lawofpurpose".Thatistosay,thepurposeoftranslationisdifferent,andthestrategiesandmethodsadoptedinthetranslationaredifferent.Inotherwords,thepurposeoftranslationdeterminesthestrategiesandmethodsoftranslation.SkopostheoryhasmadeagoodinterpretationofdomesticationandForeignizationinthehistoryoftranslationbothinChinaandinrecenttwentyorthirtyyears.Intheend,whetherthetranslationisdomesticationoralienationdependsonthepurposeoftranslation.Functionalisttranslationtheoryisbasedontheprincipleof"purposeprinciple",andanytranslationactivityispurposeful.Theultimategoalandmainfunctionoffilmtranslationistohelppeopleunderstandthemaincontentofthemovieandstimulatetheaudience'sdesiretoread.Therefore,weneedtodoasimpleunderstandingoffunctionaltranslationtheory,especiallythe"SkoposTheory"school.JiaStarrHertzMantari(JustaHolzMantari)translationactiontheory(theoryoftranslationaction)developedbyMantariVermeer'sskopostheory,pointedoutthat"translationisacomplexbehaviorforaparticularpurposetoachieve".TheobjectofstudyofMantari'stranslationtheorycoversallformsofcrossculturaltransformation,theword"translation"inmanttaritheoryhasdeviatedfromthetraditionalconnotation.Sheproposedadistinctionbetween"translation"and"translationbehavior".Translationalactionreferstotheinformationtransferprocessdesignedtoachievecrossculturalandcrosslinguistictransformationofinformation,whiletranslationisonlyacross-culturaltransformationintextform,andtranslationisthespecificoperationoftranslationbehavior.Inaddition,shealsoemphasizestheimportantroleofthethreeaspectsoftranslationpractice,suchasthebehaviorofthetranslationprocess,theroleoftheparticipantsandtheenvironmentofthetranslationprocess.Inthisway,functionalisttranslationtheoryinterpretstranslationactivitiesfromthenewperspectiveoftranslatorsandliberatestranslationfromtheshacklesoftheoriginallanguage.JustaHolzMantari,basedoncommunicativeandbehavioraltheory,proposedthetheoryoftranslationbehaviorandfurtherdevelopedthefunctionalisttranslationtheory,whichregardstranslationastheinteractiondrivenbytheresultoftranslationandtheinteractionbetweenpeopleandHolz.Thetheoryandpurposeofalotincommon,Vermeerwasalsothetwofusion.2.3ThreeRulesoftheSkoposTheory.(1)SkoposruleAccordingtoskopostheory,principleofalltranslationactivitiesfollowthe"objectiveprinciple",namelythetranslationshouldbeinlanguagecontextandculture,accordingtothetargettextreceiversexpectedfunctiontypes.Thepurposeofthetranslationbehavioristodeterminetheprocessofthewholetranslation,thatis,themethodofdeterminingtheresult.Butthetranslationactivitiescanhavemultiplepurposes,whichfurtherdividedintothreecategories:(1)thebasicpurposeofthetranslator(asa);(2)thecommunicativepurposeofthetranslation(suchasenlightening);(3)tousesomespecialmeansoftranslationpurpose(suchastoillustratethespecialgrammaticalstructurealanguageintheliteralway)accordingtoitsstructure.However,undernormalcircumstances,the"objective"referstothecommunicativepurposeofthetranslation,namely"translationofthetargetreadersinthetargetlanguageinthesocialculturalcontextofcommunicativefunction".(Venuti:2001)therefore,atranslatorshouldspecifyhisspecificpurposeinagiventranslationcontext,anddecidewhichtranslationmethodtobeadoptedbasedonthispurpose--literaltranslation,freetranslationorsomewhereinbetween.(2)CoherenceruleCoherence(coherencerule)referstothetranslationmustconformtointratextualcoherence(intratextualcoherence)standard,namelywithreadabilityandacceptability,canmaketherecipientunderstandandhavesignificanceinthetargetcultureandthecommunicativecontext.Theprincipleoffidelity(fidelityrule)meansthatthereshouldbeinterlingualcoherence(inter-textualcoherence)betweentheoriginalandthetranslation.Thisistheequivalentofothertranslationtheoriestobefaithfultotheoriginaltext,butthedegreeandformofloyaltytotheoriginaldependsonthepurposeofthetranslationandthetranslator'sunderstandingoftheoriginal.(3)PrincipleofloyaltyPrincipleofloyalty(1oyaltyprinciple)ItwasputforwardbyNord.ShefoundthatSkopostheoriehastwodrawbacks:first,becauseofthedifferencesofculturalpatterns,peoplewithdifferentculturalbackgroundshavedifferentviewsongoodtranslation;inaddition,iftheintentionprinciplerequiredbythecommunicativepurposeofthetranslationandtheoriginalauthoroftheopposite,thenwewillabidebytheobjectiveprincipleandprincipleoffaithfulness.Therefore,Nordputforwardtheprincipleofloyaltytosolvetherelationshipbetweentheculturaldifferencesandtheparticipantsofthetranslationbehavior.Nordbelievesthatthetranslatorhasamoralresponsibilitytotherecipientofthetranslation,andmustexplaintothemwhathehasdoneandwhyitisdone.Thisisoneaspectoftheprincipleofloyalty.Ontheotherhand,theprinciplerequiresthetranslatortobeloyaltotheauthoroftheoriginal.Thetranslatorshouldrespecttheoriginalauthorandcoordinatethetargetlanguageofthetranslationandtheintentionoftheauthor.(Nord:2001)therefore,theprincipleofloyaltyismainlyconcernedwiththerelationshipbetweenthetranslatorandtheparticipants,suchastheoriginalauthor,thecustomerandtherecipientofthetranslation.Nordproposedthatthetranslatorshouldfollowtheguidingprincipleof"functionplusloyalty"andthusperfectthetheory.Inconclusion,thesethreeprinciplesconstitutethebasicprinciplesofSkopostheory,butcoherenceandfidelitymustbesubordinatedtothepurposeprinciple,whichisthefirstprincipleofSkopostheory.2.4TextClassificationForalongtime,languagehasbeendividedintofunctionallanguage(functionallanguage)andliterallanguage(literarylanguage).Ifwewanttobepopular,itmaybemoresimilartowhatwecalloralandwrittenlanguageineverydaylife.Itcanbeseenthatthelocationandfunctionofthetwolanguagesarenotthesame.Furtherrefinement,KarlBuhlerwillbedividedintotheinformationoftext(informative),(expressive),theexpressionofthetextandvocativetext(vocative),thethreeandthethreetypesoftangencywithhumancognitivethinking(thinkingorperceiving),feeling(feeling)andintention(willing).KatherinaLes(KatharineReiss)isoneoftherepresentativefiguresoftheGermanfunctionalisttranslationtheory.Shebelievesthatbeforetranslation,itisnecessarytoclassifythetexttypebeforetranslation,andthenchooseappropriatetranslationstrategiesandmethodsbasedonthetypeoftext.Accordingtothethreeclassificationbefore,hemadedetailedexplanation:1)theinformationfunctionofthetext(informative),whoaimstoconveyinformation,knowledge,opinionsinthetext,allbelongtotheinformationfunctionofthetext,thetextfocusonitscontentandtheme;2)theexpressionfunctionofthetext(expressive),emphasizesthecreativityoftexttheconstructionoflanguageandaestheticlevel,highlightingtheauthorofthetextandthetextitself;3)calltext(vocative),aimstopersuadereadersorrecipientstotakesomeaction,res
