ThiscodewasdevelopedbyCISDIEngineeringCo.,Ltd.togetherwiththeorganizations

concernedundertheorganizationofChinaMetallurgicalConstructionAssociation(CMCA)in

accordancewiththerequirementsof"NoticeonPrintingandDistributingtheDevelopmentand

RevisionPlanofEngineeringConstructionStandardsandCodesin2006(Batch2)"(JIANBIAO

[2006]No.136)issuedbytheformerMinistryofConstruction(MOC).

Duringthedraftingprocess,theCodedevelopmentteamhasgivenconsiderationstotheactual

conditionsoftherawmaterialyardofiron&steelplantsinChina.Whilesummarizingthe

experienceindesigningvarioustypesofrawmaterialyards,opinionsandsuggestionshavebeen

solicitedfromtheresearch,engineering,andproductionorganizationsorinstitutes.ThisCodeofthe

presentversionisthefinalresultoffullexaminationandapprovalofrelatedauthorities.

Thiscodecomprises11Chaptersand2Appendices,coveringGeneralRules,Definitionof

Terms,GeneralProvisions,Receiving,StockYard,Sizing,Blending,Transportation,SampleTaking

&Preparation,Windbreak,Frost-proof,De-freezingandAutomation专用Control,etc.

Theprovisionsprintedinboldtypearecompulsoryonesandmustbeenforcedstrictly.

ThepresentCodeisformulatedwithaviewtoimplementingup-to-date,economicand

suitabletechnologiesanddesigninrawmaterialyardofiron&steelplants,thusallowingimproved

energyefficiency,safetyandenvironmentalprotection,aswellasensuringnormalproduction.

ThepresentCodeisapplicabletoprocessdesignforconstruction,modernizationor

expansionofrawmaterialyardsinlarge-ormedium-sizediron&steelplants.

Theprocessdesignoftherawmaterialyardiniron&steelplantsshallbeaimedtoensure

normalproduction,realizehighefficiencyandlowconsumptionintheprocessofrawmaterial

handling.

TheCodespecifiesthebasictechnicalrequirementsforprocessdesignoftherawmaterial

yardiniron&steelplants.Shouldanyprovisionhereofbeinconsistentwithlaws,decreesand

regulations,thelattershallprevail.

3GeneralRequirements

3.0.1

Theprocessdesignoftherawmaterialyardshallmeetthedemandsfromtheuserssuchas

coking,sintering,pelletizing,limecalcination,ironmaking,steelmakingandthecaptivepowerplants

(shops),andsatisfyprocessrequirementsforunloading,loading,stacking,reclaiming,storage,

handlingandtransportationofbulkmaterials.

Therawmaterialyardshouldbesizedasfollowsaccordingtothetotalvolumeofthe

incomingrawmaterials:

Small-sizedrawmaterialyard:Smallerthanorequalto(≤)3Mt/a.

2

Medium-sizedrawmaterialyard:Greaterthan3Mt/a,smallerthan10Mt/a.

3

Large-sizedrawmaterialyard:Greaterthanorequalto10Mt/a,smallerthan30Mt/a.

4

Extra-largerawmaterialyard:Greaterthanorequalto(≥)30Mt/a.

Thetotalareaoftherawmaterialyardshallcovertheflooragewithincenterlineofthe

roadssurroundingtherawmaterialyard.

3.0.4

Intheprocessdesignformodernizationorexpansionofarawmaterialyard,analysison

,专用,

materialflowsshallbemadetakingintoaccountutilizationoftheexistingfacilitiessoastofigure

outeconomicandfeasibleschemesformodernizationorexpansion.

Thedesignofthefireprotectionandpreventionforrawmaterialyardshallbemadeasper
