"AdvancedAudio-Visualcourse"isabasicellectivecourseforEnglish-majorstudents.Thecoursewillfollowindividualized,prominentpersonalitydevelopmentofteachingprinciples,theapplicationofmoderneducationaltechnology,andimplementationofnetworkself-learningandclassroominstructioncombinedmode.Thecourseaimstocultivateandimprovestudents'listeningcomprehension,verbalskills,andtheabilitytoengageincross-culturalcommunicationsothatstudentscanuseEnglisheffectivelyfortheexchangeofinformationintheirfutureworkandsocialinteraction,whileincreasingtheirself-learningabilityandculturalqualities,andlayasolidfoundationforfuturesustainabledevelopment.3.CurriculumObjectives:三、课程目标TobolsterstudentconfidenceinspeakingEnglish;aboveall,toencouragestudentstobelieveinthemselves,theirabilities,andfindthecouragetoactuallycommunicateusingspokenEnglish.ToincreasestudentauralcomprehensionofEnglishthroughvariousformsofmediaaswellasface-to-faceinteraction.

1、知识与技能目标:1.Knowledgeandskillsobjectives:遵照教育部2007年版《大学英语课程教学要求》,本阶段培养学生能听懂英语谈话和讲座,能基本听懂题材熟悉、篇幅较长的英语广播和电视节目,语速为每分钟150-180词,能掌握其中心大意,抓住要点和相关细节。能基本听懂用英语讲授的专业课程。能用英语就一般性话题进行比较流利的会话,能基本表达个人意见、情感、观点等,能基本陈述事实、理由和描述事件,表达较流利,语音、语调基本正确。能在交谈中使用有效的会话策略。Incompliancewiththe2007editionoftheMinistryofEducation,CollegeEnglishcurriculumrequirements,studentswillbeabletounderstandconversationsandlecturesinEnglish,familiarthemes,andlengthyEnglishradioandtelevisionprogramsataspeedof150-180wordsperminute,graspingthecentraleffect,andseizingthekeypointsandrelevantdetails.StudentswillhaveabasicunderstandingoftheprofessionalcoursestaughtinEnglish.TheywillbeabletospeakEnglishfluentlyongeneraltopics;expresspersonalopinions,emotions,andviewpoints;makebasicstatementsoffactorreason;anddescribeevents.Students’expressionoffluency,pronunciationandintonationwillbebasicallycorrectandtheywilluseeffectiveconversationalstrategiesinconversation.

2、过程与方法目标:2.Processandmethodobjectives:满足不同层次学生的需要,实行立体化、网络化、个性化英语教学、学生上机自主学习和教师授课相结合。通过网络学习平台,学生学习各种情景下的交际技能,反复做听力、口语练习,获取大量的语料,然后通过课堂讨论和课内外活动,使学生既有机会自己实践,又有机会相互交流学习经验。Tomeettheneedsofstudentsatdifferentlevels,acombinationofthree-dimensionalnetwork,personalizedEnglishteaching,studentindependentlearningandteacherinputwillbeimplemented.Thenetworklearningplatformwillbeusedtomaximizeopportunitiesforstudentstolearncommunicativeskillsthroughavarietyofscenarios,repetitiouslistening,speakingpractice,andwrittenmaterial.Studentswillbeinvolvedindiscussions,lessonsandextra-curricularactivitiessothattheyhaveachancetopracticeandexchangelearningexperiences.3、情感、态度与价值观发展目标:3.Emotional,attitudinalandvalues-developmentobjectives:遵循以学生发展为本的理念,强调从学生的学习兴趣、生活经验和认知水平出发,倡导体验、实践、参与、合作与交流,发展学生的综合语言运用能力。合作学习方法使学生团队精神得到弘扬。通过课外自主学习活动培养学生自我规划、自我定向、自我调整和自我控制的能力,旨在提高学生的综合素质,朝国际化人才迈进。Thecourseisdesignedtoimprovetheoverallqualityofstudentstowardsinternationaltalents.Studentsareexpectedtotakeanactiveroleandbeadvocatesintheirownlearningusingtheirinterests,lifeexperiencesandcognitivelevels.Throughpractice,participation,cooperationandexchanges,studentswilldeveloptheabilitytouseEnglishcomprehensively.Acooperativelearningapproachallowsstudentstouseteamwork;independentlearningthroughextra-curricularactivitiesdevelopsstudents'self-planning,self-directed,self-regulationandself-control.四、与前后课程的联系4.Pre-andPost-Coursecontact视听说课程是大学英语的核心基础课程,需要学生先修一定的听说读写译的知识。视听说技能与读写译技能同等重要,为后续的专业英语和双语课教学奠定基础。

ThecourseisacorefoundationoftheCollegeEnglishcoursesandrequiresstudentstohaveabasicknowledgeofEnglishpriortothecourse.Audiovisualskillsandliteracytranslationskillsareequallyimportant,andlaythefoundationforsubsequentprofessionalEnglishandbilingualteaching.5.Coursematerialselectionandreferencebooks选用教材:由清华大学出版社出版最新发行的2011版宫力主编的《新时代交互英语》(网络版)视听说教材以及与其配套的自主学习平台useteachingmaterials:"NewEraInteractiveEnglish,Viewing,Listening&Speaking,LevelTwo”(networkversion);ThirdEditioneditedbyTsinghuaUniversityPressandPearsonEducationAsiaLtd.,aswellasitssupportingnetworkofindependentlearningplatformandrepository.

利用先进的现代教育信息技术和课堂教学模式,实现人机交互、学生交互和师生交互,培养语言应用能力。以网上多媒体虚拟课堂教学为主,通过网络教学平台进行自主学习,在统一要求的前提下,学生可以自己安排学习内容和学习进度,学习过程的监控与师生交流真正实现“教-学-练-考-评-管理”各层面、各环节的人机交互。Moderneducationinformationtechnologyandclassroomteachingmodel,human-computerinteraction,studentinteractionandstudent-teacherinteraction,culturelanguageapplicationability.Onlinemultimediavirtualclassroomteaching,autonomouslearningthroughnetworkteachingplatform,intheuniformrequirementspremise,studentscanarrangetheirownlearningcontentandlearningprogress,monitoringofthelearningprocessandstudentexchangerealteaching-learning-practice-test-review-managementatalllevels,inallsectorsofhuman-computerinteraction.2、学生必须阅读的论著,建议学生阅读的论著。2.Requiredextra-curricularreadingandeducationalmaterials

1)普特英语听力网,英语四六级考试学习网上的数字化音、视频素材2)与教学相关的各类英文报纸、杂志和书籍。

3)经典英语影视名著和英美国家的流行影视片。

1)PoodListeningnet,theCETlearningonlinedigitalaudioandvideomaterial

2)English-languagenewspaper,magazinesandbooksrelatedtotheteachingandlearning.

3)EnglishfilmclassicsandpopularmoviesandtelevisionfromAnglo-Americancountries.3、学生完成本课程每周须投入的时间。3.Weeklystudytimerequirement.

掌握本课程内容,学生在课内外所要花费的时间为6学时左右。

Inordertomasterthecontentsofthiscourse,studentsshouldspendabout6hoursaweek,includingclasstime,homeworkandextra-curricularactivities.4、学生的上课、讨论、答疑、提交作业(论文)单元测试、期末考试的等方面的要求。4.Requiredclass,laboratory,discussion,Q&A,homework(orthesis),unittests,finalexams,etc.,workrequirementsforstudents.

Attendanceismandatoryforthisclass,asisvocalparticipationinclassdiscussions,Q&A,spokenactivities,partnerandgroupactivities.Participationinindividualandsmall-groupspokenfinalexamsisrequired,asisindividualpronunciationandvocabularystudy/practicebothinsideandoutsidetheclassroom.Studentsareexpectedtocompleteallhomeworkassignmentsandself-studyassignments.Classtimewillaccountfortwohourseachweek.Studentsshouldexpecttospendabouttwohourseachweekonhomeworkandself-studyandabouttwohourseachweekinextra-curricularactivitiesdesignedtoincreasetheiruseoftheEnglishlanguage.Ifstudentsadequatelycompletethein-class,homeworkandself-studyassignmentsandreceiveapassingscoreontheoralandlisteningexams,theywillreceive2creditsfortheclass.

5、学生参与教学评价的要求。5.Studentparticipationinteachingevaluationrequirements.

AsdirectedbytheFLD,Iwillencouragestudentstocompleteonlineevaluationofthecourseandmyteachingmethod.Ialsosolicitfeedbackfromstudentsthroughanymeansofcontactattheendofeachclass,andfurtherencouragethisthroughstudentofficehours.九、成绩评定方法及标准9.
