hadalsochangedhumanrelations.Onecannowbereachedvirtuallyanytime,anywhere.Althoughtechnologyhasmadehumanrelationseasierintheworkplace,ithasalsodecreasedtheamountofface-to-faceinteraction. diversityarehavinganimpactontheenvironmentofschoolsacrossthenation.Theseaspectsofchangearehavingmanypositiveinfluencesonthequalityofeducationavailabletoourstudents.AdvancesincomputersandtheInternetmakelimitlessamountsofinformationaccessibletostudents.Culturaldiversityinschoolshelpschildrentolearnatayoungagethattherearemanythingsthatcanbelearnedfromotherpeople'scultures.Thesechangesareveryimportanttosocietyasawholebecausetheyindicatethatfuturegenerationswillbemoreacceptingofdifferencesandbetterabletoaccommodateothers.
Anotherimportantareathathasseenchangesinthe1990sisthestructureandroleofthefamily.Intoday'senvironmentthetraditionalfamilyasitwasknowninthepastisnolongerthenorm.Therearemanyfactorscontributingtotheincreasingnumberofnon-traditionalfamilies.Theeaseofobtainingadivorceandtheincreaseinteenagepregnancieshasledtosmallerfamiliesandmoresingleparentfamilies.Manysingleparentsareoverwhelmed
withtheresponsibilitiesofraisingachild,andinsomecasestheparentisstillateenager,andnotyetmaturehimselforherself.Anothergrowingnon-traditionalfamilytypeisaresultofinter-racial.Notonlyisthestructureofthetypicalfamilychanging,butthewaychildrenarebeingraisedischangingaswell,includingdecreasedqualityandquantityofcommunication,decreasedinteractionandinterestinthelivesofotherfamilymembers,anddecreasedabilityofparentstomanageandcontrolthebehavioroftheirchildren.Parentstodayaretimidtopunishtheirchildrenphysicallybecausetheyareafraidthatthechildmayclaimchildabuse.Thecurrenttrendistoseekalternativeapproaches,suchascounseling,asawaytoalterbehavior.
