姥姥家的院子

童年,如烟花一绽般短暂,美丽。带着丝丝的思念,牵着逝去的天真,深深地刻在记忆的光盘中。随着光阴的流转,一幕幕美丽,生动的往事被时针抛洒在成长路上,而姥姥家的院子,就是其中一幕。记忆中,推开厚厚的老式门,先看到一个避雨的棚子,夏天时,躲在那里,凉爽极了。依稀记得,棚下墙角还有一株大丽菊开得茂盛。棚前就是一片绿油油的景象。一个四方的院子就展现出来。这就是我童年充满欢乐的地方。

回忆中,北屋边的枣树总是红杂绿,青涩的枣儿害羞似得,躲在浓密的绿叶里不出来,石榴树可不同了,笑的咧开了大嘴,一点儿也不羞涩。蜂儿呀,蝶呀,春天时几乎都乘风飞来了,到时,轻轻一扑,总能扑到一两只豹纹蝴蝶,黄粉蝶呀,南屋檐下还似乎有个蜂窝似的。侧屋的藤上好似永不空着似得,时种点黄瓜,时种点葡萄,一年的倭瓜攀上了屋檐。肥土里,大叶子的小油菜抬着头,红艳艳的辣椒瘦瘦的,朵朵蝴蝶花衬在周围,像给辣椒別上个头饰似得,也有几分美丽。幼时,姥姥姥爷总是在这不大的院子里忙活。我也跟着帮助。说是帮助,其实是捣乱,反倒帮了倒忙。施肥吧,堂姐在那规规矩矩的施肥,我呢,就在旁闲逛,不但把施好肥的田地破坏,连肥料也被我撒得到处都是,爸爸妈妈只得从一旁苦笑。后来,大人们再也不让我帮助了。

闲的闷,就去打枣。小小的我拿着那么长的带钩竿子够,一使劲,“哗啦〞,枣儿倒一个也没掉下来,反倒一只灰蜘蛛连枝差点掉到头

上,我还从未看见过这么大的蜘蛛哩!吓得幼小的我坐在地上哭了起来,连竿子砸在脚上都没有觉察。

摘水果也是我常在姥姥的院子里做的事情之一,可祸事还免不了发生,记得有一次,我去拾石榴,未曾留意到果间还趴着个黄绒绒的球儿,就那一次,险些被蜂儿蜇,可晚后水果过后,却有些不适。此后我再也不敢擅自拾了。

儿时,那老屋前总趴着一只毛色纯白的猫。猫名雪,比我出生晚两年,我天真的想:假设它会说人语的话,一定要叫我‘姐姐’。我没事就和它玩,我喂给它“虾条〞吃,它和我玩“躲猫猫〞,“找东西〞在姥姥的院子里,乐趣就如我扔出的玉米芯那样好找到。扑个蝴蝶,捉个蜻蜓,采野花,摘黄瓜,姥姥家邻村的孩子们还有跑去几里外的河边游泳的。这有在这儿,才能躲避城市的喧嚣,逃离街道的车水马龙,奔流不息,抛弃人来人往,享受宁静的自由。这怎的不称得上是“人间天堂〞?这怎得不比城市好上十倍?

如今,那美妙的童年光阴早已不复存在了。本已快忘了,又被课文?乡下人家?,?祖父的园子?勾起了记忆的心弦,弹出思念的琴音。“雪〞四个月前去世了。那个被我视为“人间天堂〞的小院子,几年前也被撤除,盖起了新小区。走在新铺的地板上,有种莫名的思念。是啊,豪华的都市现代化生活,怎比得上幼年时在姥姥的园子里那惬意,自在的生活呢?

TomisasaintlyandfaithfulblackslaveownedbytheShelbyfamily.WhentheShelbysfindthemselvesinfinancialdifficulties,tomissoldtothesouth.OnhiswaytothesouthhesavesawhitegirlEvawiththeresultthatherfatherbuyshimoutofgratitude.AfterEvadiesofillnessandherfatheriskilledinanaccident,TomissoldtoacruelYankee.Becausetomwillnotrevealthewhereaboutsoftworunawayfemaleslaves,heiswhippedtodeathbyhismaster.

2.UncleTom’sHonesty

ThoughsomecriticscriticizedUncleTom’scowardiceofsittingdownunderwhatevermighte,theycouldnotdenyhisextraordinaryhonesty.

Atthebeginningofthenovel,Mr.Shelby,thefirstandmostgenerousmasterofUncleTom,remendedUncleTom’shonestywhendiscussingwithhiscreditor,Haley,towhomheowedalotsumofmoneythatcouldnotbepaidoffeasily.ThoughMr.Shelbywasreluctant,heresortedtosellTomtoclearthedebt,andhebelievedthatUncleTomwasabsolutelyworththeamount.Mr.ShelbysaidthatUncleTomwashisfavoritepetanda“genuinearticle〞,apious,steady,sensible,unmonfellow.Hetrustedhimwithoutquestionandlethimeandgoaroundthecountryfreely,managinghismoney,house,andhorse.Everythinghehad,hewouldaskUncleTomtodealwiththem,andmanyyears’successandfruitsfoundUncleTomtrueandsquareineverything,andhishonestywonthehighestplaceinfrontofMr.Shelby.

3.DuringMr.Shelby’stalkingwithHaley,thereisonethingthatcouldtestifyTom’shonestytotheutmost.Itwasonefall,Mr.ShelbyaskedTomtogotoCincinnatialone,todobusinessforhim,andbringhomefivehundreddollars.“‘Tom’,〞Mr.Shelbysaidtohim,‘ItrustyoubecauseIthinkyouareaChristian—Iknowyouwouldn’tcheat’〞(Stowe1999:2).Surely,Tomcameback,withthatsumofmoney,andsomefellowsaidtohim,“Tom,whydon’tyoumaketracksforCanadatolethimcoverthewholebalanceofthedebt.

GeorgeHarris’braveryofstruggle,theyadmiredUncleTom’sspiritofsacrifice,too,forhedaredtomaintainhisfaithinthatdeafGod.InUncleTom’sheart,Godwasneverdeaf,butalwaysbethere,watchinghim,lovinghim,helpinghimandwouldhelphimsometime.WhenUncleTomwasgoingtobesoldbyMr.Shelby,hesmotheredhisgriefandfortedhiswifewithhisbrave,manlyheart:“I’mintheLord’shands,nothingcangofurtherthanheletsit;—andthat’sonethingIcanthankhimfor.It’smethat’ssoldandgoingdown,andnotyounorthechildren.Hereyouaresafe;—whateswillonlyonme;andtheLord,he’llhelpme,—Iknowhewill〞(Stowe1999:92).Later,whenMasterSt.Clarehadguaranteedhisfreedombutdied,andbeinginformedtobesoldagain,theoldUncleTom’sheartwasfull.Thehopeofliberty,thethoughtofdistantwifeandchildren,roseupbeforehispatientsoul,astothemarinershipwreckedalmostinportrosethevisionofthechurch-spireandlovingroofsofhisnativevillage.However,hedrewhisarmstightlyoverhisbosom,andchokedbackthebittertears,andtriedtopray,andtheonlyprayheprayedwas:“TheLord’swillbedone〞(Stowe1999:317).What’smore,whenUncleTomwaswhippedbyLéger,lyingthere,almostdied,hedidn’thavethefeelingofcoldness,degradation,disappointment,andwretchedness,butajoyofsoul-crisisbeingpast.Fromhisdeepestsoul,thehoursthatloosedandpartedfromeveryhopeinthelifenoereover,andofferedhisownwillanunquestioningsacrificetotheinfinite.Whenthebodywasexhausted,therewasnothingmorethatcouldtorturehim;forhissoul,nothingcouldtortureit,foritbelongedtotheGod,andfinallywentbacktoHim.
