Abstract

Withthedevelopmentofeducation,theimportanceofteachers'researchabilityhasgraduallybeenputontheagenda.Asaresult,researchonteachers'researchabilityhasbecomemoreandmorepopular.Teachers'researchabilityisanimportantindicatorofthequalityofteaching.Atpresent,theresearchonteachers'researchabilityinChinaisstillintheexploratorystage.Thispaperattemptstostudythecurrentsituationofteachers'researchability,identifythefactorsthatinfluenceteachers'researchability,andputforwardsomeconstructivesuggestions.

Introduction

Inrecentyears,withtheaccelerationofeducationalreforminvariousplacesinChina,theimportanceofteachers'researchabilityhasbeengraduallyrecognizedbypeople.Teachers'researchabilityisanimportantreflectionofthequalityofteaching.Itisalsoatooltoimprovethequalityofteaching.Teacherswithstrongresearchabilitycanparticipateinteachingreform,curriculumdevelopment,andeducationalmanagement.Theycanalsoprovidestudentswithmoreeffectiveandinnovativeteaching.

Atpresent,theresearchonteachers'researchabilityinChinaisnotdeepenough.Thepurposeofthispaperistoexplorethecurrentsituationofteachers'researchability,identifythefactorsthataffectteachers'researchability,andprovidesuggestionsforimprovingteachers'researchability.

1.Thecurrentsituationofteachers'researchability

1.1Theconceptofteachers'researchability

Teachers'researchabilitycanbeunderstoodastheabilityofteacherstocarryoutscientificresearchactivitiesindependentlyorcooperativelyinthefieldofeducation.Itisanabilitytodealwithprofessionalproblemsthroughscientificmethodsandmeans.Itincludestheabilitytoselectresearchtopics,todesignresearchmethods,tocollectandanalyzedata,towriteresearchreports,andtodisseminateresearchresults.

1.2Thecurrentsituationofteachers'researchabilityinChina

1.2.1Researchfunds

ResearchfundsforteachersinChinamainlycomefromschoolsandgovernments.Thefundingratiobetweenschoolsandthegovernmentvariesindifferentregions.Accordingtostatistics,theaverageresearchfundingperteacherinChinaisabout10,000yuan.Thisleveloffundingisfarfromenoughtopromoteteachers'researchactivities.

1.2.2Researchtime

Teachers'researchactivitiesareoftencarriedoutintheirsparetime.However,theexcessiveworkloadofteachingmakesitdifficultformanyteacherstosparetimeforresearch.Accordingtostatistics,theaverageresearchtimeperteacherinChinaisabout80hoursperyear.Thislevelofresearchtimeisfarfromenoughtosupportthedevelopmentofteachers'researchability.

MostteachersinChinahavealowlevelofresearchoutput.Accordingtostatistics,theaveragenumberofpaperspublishedbyteachersinChinaisonly0.2peryear.ThislowlevelofresearchoutputreflectstheweakresearchabilityofChineseteachers.

2.Thefactorsthataffectteachers'researchability

2.1Individualfactors

Individualfactorsrefertothepersonalcharacteristicsofteachers,suchaseducationbackground,workexperience,academicability,andinnovationability.Differentindividualfactorsplaydifferentrolesinaffectingteachers'researchability.

2.2Environmentalfactors

Environmentalfactorsrefertotheexternalfactorsthataffectteachers'researchability,suchasresearchfunds,researchtime,researchatmosphere,andresearchenvironment.Environmentalfactorsplayamoreimportantroleinshapingteachers'researchability.
