1:DoyouagreeordisagreethatparentsshouldnotexpresstheirdisagreementtotheteacherifparentsfindtheteachingmethodisnotAsagreatphysiologistintheUnitedStatesoncesaid,“Ifthecountrydoesnotinvestthemoneyoneducation,itwillthenhavetouseitonprison.”Educationissuesarehighlyfocusedbynotjusttheschoolteachers,butbyparentsaswell.Nevertheless,therightteachingmethodhasneverbeenreachedaconsensus.Inmypointofview,parentsshouldnotexpresstheirdisagreementtotheteacheriftheteachingmethodisnotright,forthedefinitionof“right”teachingmethodsisvaried.Firstly,teachershavetohandleavarietyofstudentsintheclass.Inotherwords,forteachers,theyneedtoadoptateachingstrategythatsuitsawiderangeofdifferentstudents.Ifallparentsexpresstheirdisagreementswhentheydiscoversomethingwrongandinterrogatewhattheteacherdoesforhisorherteachingpedagogy,nooneiswinning;worse,theclasscurriculumwillneedtobealteredtofitdifferentneedsof“parents”fromthestudentbody.Forexample,IwasanEnglishteacherbeforeatanelementaryschool;manyoftheparentswereactuallystandingbehindtheclassroomandinterferedwithmyteachingbytryingtocorrectmeinmymethods.However,otherparentsdidnotagreewithsomeofthesuggestions.Intheend,theclasswaspostponedbecauseparentsneededtomakeanagreementfirst.Thestudents’learningrightisruinedandteachersjustcannotcatertoalltheneedsofdifferentparents.Secondly,manystudentsdiscoversomethingthroughtheprocessofself-learning.AsMarkTwainonceremarked,'Namethebiggestinventoraccident.”Evenifsometeacherscannotsatisfytheneedsofallstudentsthroughtheproperteachingmethods,studentscanstilllearnfromtheirownexplorationinthesubject.Forphysics,studentscanmakefastprogressthroughreadingallkindsofbooksinordertosolvetheirdoubtsorquestions,suchasaboutsoundortheuniverse.Intriguedbythoseextrareading,studentsareabletoknowthatknowledgeisnotjustconstrainedtothetextbook.Formusicorevenart,thereisnoset“rightmethods”toteachstudents.Theroleofteacheristoguide,tostimulateandtoinspire,ratherthantogiveoutacoldandsolidteachingmethodtoleadoutthetruepotentialsofeachstudent.Ifparentsexpresstheirdisagreementintheprocessofthelearningwhentheyfeelnotright,thestudentswillfeelconfusedandbewilderedforwhatisrightandwhatiswrong,whichisdetrimentaltothecultivationoftheirself-exploration.Besides,inmostcases,teacherswilldeliberaygiveoutwronganswersorresearchdirectionsforstudentsbecausestudentscanlearnbetter,insomecases,throughtheprocessofmakingmistakes.Ifparentsinterfere,allthelearningprocesswillnotbecarriedoutinthemostpromisingwaypossible.Thirdly,studentswilllosefaithtoteachersifteachersrevisetheirteachingmethodsallthetime.Learningisnotjustaboutabsorbingnewthingsfromteachers;further,itisabouttheconfidenceaswellasauthoritystudentsholdforteachers.Ononelikestolearnfromateacherwhoseteachingmethodsareconstantlyquestioned.Whenstudentslosefaithintheonewhoimpartstheknowledge,theywillnotfollowtheguidance.Moreover,manystudentsliketeacherswhogoeasyonthemfor .Iftheteacherisstrictwiththem,theymightlparentsaboutitthatpotentiallymightmisguidetheparentstoquerytheteacher’steachingmethods.Duetothefactthatparentsonlylistentowhatthestudentssay,theymightreallyquestiontheteacherforhowheorsheteaches,whichisnot,atall,helpfultoteachersalongwiththeentirecurriculumasawhole.Ofcourse,somepeoplemaythinkthateducationiswaypivotalandonceparentssensetheinadequateapproachestheteacherutilize,theyshouldexpresstheirdisagreementanddiscusswiththeteachers.Sincewecannotoveremphasizetheimportanceofeducation,parentsshouldbeinvolvedandparticipateintheteachingapproachesforthebestqualityofteaching.Sometimesteachersaretoocenteredontheteachingortheirownopinions,yetthemethodsmightnotbetheperfectforeveryoneinabsorption.Ifparentscanltheteachersaboutit,theycanimprovethewholeteachingmethodsforthebetterment.However,thedisagreementoftheparentsfortheteachingmethodsshouldnotbeexpressedoverlyorsimplejustquestionwhenparentsseeunfit.Theremightbemoredisadvantagesthanadvantagessinceonedisagreementcanleadtoanotherdisagreement.Theschooliscomposedofagroupofpeopleandtheyallhavetheirownsonwhatshouldbetaughtandwhatmethodsshouldbeused.Inconclusion,wecannotdenythefactthattherearesomemeritsforparentsexpressingdisagreementsontheteachingapproachesofteacherswhentheyfindsomethingwrong,thisisnotadequatefortheteachersaswellastheteachingcurriculumnnedinadvance.Allparentshavetheirrighttoexpresswhattheythinkorwhattheyconsciouslyregardmistakesontheteachingmethods.However,thereisnodefiniteanswertowhatanidealteachingmethodshouldbe.Thus,Iholdtheopinionthatparentsshouldnotexpresstheirdisagreementstotheteacherifparentsfindtheteachingmethodisnotcorrect,whichissurelynotconducivetotheschool,teachersaswellasstudents.2:Somestudentsprefertohavetheirfinalgradesdeterminedbynumeroussmallassignments,whereasothersprefertohavetheirfinalgradesdeterminedbyonlyafewlargeassignments.Whichdoyoupreferandwhy?Iprefertohavemyfinalgradedeterminedbynumeroussmallassignmentsratherthanoneortwolargeassignments.Thatway,procrastinationislesslikelybecauseI’msharplyfocusedonthefrequentduedates.Ialsotendtolearnmorethroughoutthesemesterandeachassignmentislessstressfulbecausetheyaren’tworthahugepercentageofmytotalgrade.Procrastinationcanbeabigproblemforsomestudents,myselfincluded.Whenthereareonlyafewlargeassignmentsinaclass,therecanbeseveralweeksinarowwherewearen’trequiredtoturninanywork.Theassumptionisthatwearestudyingorwritingathomeintheme.However,Iknowthatthiscansometimesleadtoprocrastinationonmypart.ItakeadvantageofthesituationandthinkIcantakeafewdaystorelaxbeforegettingtowork.ButmoreandmoretimegoesbyandsuddenlyIamscramblingtocompletetheassignmentbeforetheduedate.Turninginsmallerassignmentsmorefrequentlypreventsthisscenario.Thestructuredoesn’tallowmetofallbehindbecausesomethingisalwaysdueinthenearfuture.Thesefrequentassignmentsalsoassurethatwestudentsarelearningmorethroughoutthesemester.Forexample,ifeachsmallassignmentcoversonechapterfromthetextbook,thenmyclassmatesandIwillreadeachassignedchapterbecausewemust.Atestornewassignmentisalwaysaroundthecornertocheckourwork.Butsuchspecificstudyingisn’treallynecessaryifwedon’teventurnanythinginuntilmidwaythroughthesemester.Certainchaptersmightgetskimmedorevenskippedoutofperceivedunimportance.Maybewesavetime,butwearereceivinglessinformationoverall,whichisn’tgood.Finally,havingonlyafewlargeassignmentscanbetremendouslystressful.I’malwayswellawarethatngpoorlyonanessaycouldresultinmefailingtheentireclassiftheessayisworthalargepercentageofmyoverallgrade.Thiscanhaveanearlyparalyzingeffectonmyworkbecausethepressureisjusttoomuch.NothingIdoseemsgoodenoughwhentheassignmentisthatimportant.HavingseveralsmallerassignmentsismuchmorepleasantbecauseIknowitisn’ttheendoftheworldifsomethinggoeswrongwithonethem.Mygradewon’tbeaffectedtooterribly.I’mthenmoreconfidentandateaseinmyThatiswhyImuchpreferhavingmygradedeterminedbyseveralsmallassignmentsinsteadofafewlargeassignments.I’mnotallowedtoprocrastinate,Iengagemorewiththesubjectmatteroverthecourseofthesemester,andI’mnotoverwhelmedwithstressbecauseofmassivelyimportantassignments.Doyouagreeordisagreewiththestatement:ernmentshavedoneenoughtoeducatethepeopletheimportanceofabalancedlifestyleandhealthyeating]Abalancedlifestyleandhealthyeatingareessentialthingsforaernmenttodevelopandadvancethattheyaresodeeplyrelevantforagreatnationtobe.Inmycountry,IthinkmyernmentisnotngenoughtoeducateitscitizenstokeepabalancedlifestyleandtoeatFirstly,theernmentemphasizesmoreonthedevelopmentofeconomythanasoundlifestyle.Tobemoreconcise,italwaysmakesattemptstoboostthegrowthofeconomytryingtoprovethatmycountryisagreatoneandpeoplelivingonthislandarehappyandcontent.However,economyprogressionisnotasoundindicatortothisregardduetothefactthatpeopleareexpectedtoworkharderandtosacrificetheirsparetimeinordertofulfilltheanticipationofthe andtheernment.Abalancedlifemeanspeopledonotjustworkfortheircareerorjobs,butalsofortheirpleasures,fortheirhobbiesandfortheirfamily.Inthesociety,conversely,peopleareeducatedtousealltheirtimetoworkdiligentlyattheexpenseofanythingintheirlife.Asounbalancedlifestyleitisthatpeopleareunderpressure,suchasconstructionworkersneedingtofinishbuildingprojectsasfastaspossiblesothattheycanearnmoremoney;studentstryingtoacethetestsothattheycanearnmoretimefortheirtestsbysacrificingthetimeofexercisingandspendingtimewiththeirfriendsandfamily.Hardlydotheytakearesttoleadabalancedlifebecausetheyarenoteducatedtodosoforabetterliving.Secondly,theernmenttendstoignorethefastdevelopmentofunhealthychainstore.ThefoodindustryhasatremendousinfluenceontheissueofhealthyeatingHowever,itissopowerfulthatthisgreatempirespendsmillionsofdollarsonadvertisement,mediummoviesorevenonschools,fortheyaresponsorsofcertainschoolactivities.So,mostofthepeoplearenoteducatedwellenoughtoeatadietthatisbeneficialandwholesometotheirphysicalcondition.Whattheyare“educated”insteadistoeatinafancyceandget(用这个字,是要表示轻蔑之意)theirmealsasfastaspossibleasinchainfast-foodrestaurantsAsweallknowthatfruitsvegetablesandwaterareessentialelementsforahealthyeatinghabit,yettheernmentseldomeducatesustoconsumethosethingsinourdailylife;unhealthychainstoresaretakingthehandoftheernmentineducatinguswhatseemsrighttoeatduetotheignoranceoftherampantdevelopmentofill-nourishedfoodindustry.Admittedly,somepeoplemaystillthinkourernmenthasdoneitsroleofeducatingcitizenstoeathealthyandkeepabalancedlife.Forinstance,intheschool,studentsaretaughtwhatnutrientsarevitaltoourphysicalconditionandsomeoftheernmentalorganizations,takingHealthyandSanitaryDepartmentforexample.Itisholdingsomeactivitiestoteachcitizenswhattoeattokeepinagoodshapeandlivehealthily.However,tome,thisisnotenough.Greasyfoodandsugarybeveragesarestillsoldintheschoolduetoitshighprofits.Saltyfood,highcarbohydratedietsandfriedproductsarenotararesightwhenpeoplegotosupermarketsorwhentheyturnontheTVorreadthemagazines.Inconclusion,eventhoughmy ernmentistryingitsbesttoeducatepeopletoeatrightinsomeaspects,thisisnotsufficientandnoteffectual.The ernmentisstilltryingtofocusmoreonthedevelopmentofeconomyandpeoplearestillbombardedwiththeadvertisementsofthefoodindustry,sopeopleeatbythe“trend,”ratherthanbythe“nutritionfacts”fromfood.Hence,Ithinkmyernmentisnoteducatingtheirpeopleenoughconcerningabalancedlifeandahealthyeatingconcept.Ifacityhasgiventhemoneytoinvestment,whichoptionsdoyoupreferlistedintheBuildapublicgardentoprovidequietenvironmenttobenefitBuiltasportsfieldforstudentsinhighschoolwhichdoesn'thaveitsItisacomplicatedissueforthecitytoputitsfundforamoreproperutilization.Trickyasitis,thedecisionmadewillinfluenceagreatnumberofpeopleinthearea.Shouldthisamountofmoneybeinvestedinthepublicgardentobenefitallthecitycitizens,orinthesportsfieldforhighschoolwhichdoesnothaveitsown?Inmyopinion,IthinkIwouldsidewiththeformer~usingthissumofmoneytoinvestthepublicgardenforaquietenvironmenttobenefitall.Firstly,theinvestmentforthepublicwillbenefitmorepeople.Inotherwords,thisamountofmoneybelongstocity,notexclusivetotheschool.Inamacro-pointofview,thedecisionofinvestingthisfundshouldbeusedtobenefitmorepeople.Ifapublicgardenisbuiltup,thecitizensinthiscitywillhavemorecestogo.Fornice-to-fiveworker,theyaremostlyunderstressfortheirbusylife.Ontheweekend,theycangotothegardentorelaxandenjoyawidevarietyofflowerscenery.Natureheals.Theirpressureaccumulatedcanbechanneledandtheycanbemorereadyforthefuturechallenges.Forstudents,theyalsocangotothepublicgardenwitheithertheirclassmatesorfamily.Pressurereleased,studentscanimprovetheiracademicperformance.Atthesametime,theycanalsohavemoretimebeingwiththeirparentsforaqualityfamilytimewhilerelaxingthemselves.Thus,onlythroughinvestingthisamountofmoneyintothepublicareacanthecitymakeasoundoptionforbenefitingallofitscitizens.Secondly,publicgardensaresuitablecestomeetpeople.Livinglifeinthefastlane,citypeopleusuallygotopublicplacesfornotjustreleasingtheirpressure,butalsoformeetingnewpeople.AccordingtoNatureJournal,“ntshavetheeffectofmakingpeoplefeelbetterinbothmindandinspirit."Ifapublicgardenisestablished,citypeopleaswellasstudentswillhavemorechancestomeetupdifferentpeople,strengtheningsocialrelationship.Forinstance,duetolackofleisuretime,peoplealwaystrytodothingsthatcanbenefitthemthemost.Byvisitingapublicgarden,peoplefromallwalksoflifecanmeetpeopletheyknowortalktopeopletheydonotknow,increasingopportunitiestomakefriends.Besides,theycanrelaxthemselvesbythenaturepowerofnts.Contrarily,ifthecitydecidestoinvestthisamountofmoneytohighschoolsthatdonothavetheirownsportsfield,thiswillonlybenefitasmallernumberofcitizensinthiscity.Bytakingtheadvantageofthepublicgarden,highschoolscanalsoarrangefieldtripstotheceandtheycanalsobenefitthemselveswiththisoption.Onestepfurther,theycanalsolearntheknowledgeofvariousnts.Thirdly,thepublicgardencancatchtheeyeoftouristsfromothercitiesorcountries.Inawiderpointofview,theword“investment”meansthatitwillnotjustbringidealbenefitstopeople,butleadtoamorepracticalconcept-therevenue.Tobemoreconcise,ifthepublicgardenismade,itwillpurifytheairofthecity,makingthiscitymoredesirableforvisitors.Pubicgardenscanbeacewherevisitorswillliketopaypilgrimtofortotalrelaxation,suchasthepublicgardensinSingaporeorthoseinPhiladelphia,justtonameafew,inwhichthosefantasticpublicgardensattractthousandsofpeopletocomeandappreciate.Theywillspendmoneyinthiscitywhilevisitingthegarden,whichisagreatmeansofincreasingtherevenueofthecity.Theamountofmoneymadefromallthecommercialactivitiesduringtheirvisitingpublicgardenscanbeusedtoimprovethequalityofthecity,suchasbuildinguplibraries,morehybridbusesandforth.Hence,investingtheamountofmoneyintothepublicareaisawin-winforallthepeoplelivinginthisCoinshavetwosides,admittedly,somepeoplemaythinkthathighschoolstudentsareattheagewhentheyneedalotofexercisefortheirfuture,beitthebuild-upoftheirphysiqueorbeittheoutletofchannelingdailypressurefromlifeaswellasfromschoolwork.Additionally,manyyoungpeoplesufferfromdepression,lonelinessowingtoshortageofceswheretheycanengagethemselvesforexercising.Thebestcesforthemarethesportsfieldbuiltwithintheproximityoftheschool.Idonotdenythosebenefitsandviewpoints.However,therearemanyceswherethoseyoungkidscangotoreleasetheirpressureandbuildupgoodrelationshipwithpeople,suchasgyms,parksorevenpathsalongriversormountains.Itisthequestionofwhetherthoseyoungpeoplelongtodoitornot.Furthermore,acityshouldspendthemoneyontheceswheretheycandomoregoodtopeople.Theinvestmentinthepublicgardenisadecentchoicethatcan—benefitallthepeople,providemorechoicesformeetingpeopleintheirleisuretimeandaugmentthecityrevenueformoremeritsofthecity.Undoubtedly,ifthecityisconsideringthebestinvestmentfromthetwooptionsstated,itisdefiniynotadecentchoiceforbuildingupsportsfieldsforhighschoolthatdoesnothavetheirown,afterall.Ahighschoolisthinkingaboutmakingoneofthefollowingclassesarequiredclassforhighschoolstudents,
