prints,suchasthedepthoftheheelimpression,andthedeepimprintofthebigtoe.Footprints
thusprovideusnotmerelywithrareimpressionsofthesofttissueofearlyhominids,butalsowith
evidenceofuprightwalkingthatinmanywaysisclearerthancanbeobtainedfromtheanalysisof
