附录AApparatusforbaggingabaleandmethodofbaggingsuchbaleMccorkleTJ,HoltyAG,MayerED.Abstract:Abalebaggingapparatusforwrappingabagaroundabaleofcompressedmaterialincludesabaseframememberhavingafirstendandasecondend,atransportationsystem,abalechuteandabagretrievalsystem.Thetransportationsystemisprovidedtotransportabalethroughthebalechutehavingabagforwrappingthebale.Additionally,thebalebaggingapparatushasthebagretrievalsystemtopositionabagfromafirstpositiontoasecondpositiontoathirdposition,whereinthethirdpositionanopenendofthebagispositionedaroundtheoutputendofthebalechutewhenthebaleistransportedbythetransportationsystemthroughthebalechute.CrossReferenceThisapplicationclaimsthebenefitofU.S.provisionalapplicationSer.No.61/614,901,filedMar.23,2012,theentiretyofwhichishereinincorporatedbyreference.FieldThepresentdisclosurerelatestoanapparatusforbaggingabaleandmethodofbaggingsuchbale.SummayThepresentdisclosuredescribesanembodimentofaninventiondirectedtoabaggingapparatusforbalesofcompressedmaterial,suchascotton,havingabaseframeparalleltoalongitudinalfeeddirection,aconveyorsystemcoupledtothebaseframe,abalefeedingstationatoneendofthebaseframemember,abalechutecoupledtothebaseframedownstreamofthebalefeedingstationalongthelongitudinalfeeddirection,abaggingstationcoupledtothebaseframememberbetweenthefirstandsecondendsafterthebalechute,agantryhavingagantrybeamcoupledtotopsectionsofverticalsupportsparallelthelongitudinalfeeddirectionbetweenthefirstandsecondendsofthebaseframemember,abalepusherhavingadrivingmechanismcoupledtothebaseframearrangedtomoveinthelongitudinalfeeddirection,andasealingmodulelocatedatthesecondendofthebaseframememberandamethodforbaggingthereof.Theresultingbalebaggingapparatushasasimpleconstructionforeasyinstallationthatallowstheefficientandeasyplacementofabagaroundthebagchuteforbaggingabale.Inaccordancewiththestructureofthedescribedembodiment,thebaggingstationislocateddownstreamofthebalechutealongthelongitudinalfeeddirectionbetweenthefirstandsecondendsofthebaseframemember.Thebaggingstationhasagantryandthesecondsectionandgapsectionoftheconveyorsystem,wheretheatleastonegapsectionisprovidedbetweensecondandthirdsectionsoftheconveyorsysteminthebaggingstation.Thegantryhasatleasttwoverticalsupportshavingtopsections,agantrybeamhavingendscoupledtothetopsectionsofthetwoverticalsupports,atrackcoupledtothegantrybeam,andaretrievaldevicemovablycoupledtothegantrybeam.Theverticalsupportsarepositionedtransverselyfromthebaseframemembersothatthegantryandretrievalassemblyispositionablealongthelongitudinalfeeddirectionandsecondgapsection.Theretrievalassemblyisconfiguredtopick-upanopenendofthebagfromapalletofbagssothataclosedendofthebaghangsdownwardly.Theretrievaldevicecanthenmovefromafirstpositiontoasecondposition,wherethesecondpositionisapositionwheretheclosedendofthebagisalignedperpendicularlytothelongitudinalfeeddirectiontotheatleastonegapsection.Afterwhich,theretrievaldevicemovesinadirectiontransversetothelongitudinalfeeddirectionsothattheclosedendofthebagispositionedintheatleastonegapsection.Theopenendofthebagcanthenbemovedinthelongitudinaldirectionforwardlytowardsthebagchutetopositiontheopenendofthebagaroundthebalechute.Thisinventivestructureallowsthestraighteningofthebagforplacementofthebagaroundthebalechuteinacompact,efficientarrangement.Bystraighteningthelengthofthebag,thebagisbetterpositionedtoreceivethebalefedintothebalechuteusingasimpleandeasytoinstallstructure.Additionally,thesecondsectionoftheconveyorsystemcancompriserollersinclinedoutwardlyandupwardlyfromacenterpositionofthesecondsection.Byincliningtherollers,thebaggedbalefedfromthebalechuteonlycontactstherollersofthesecondsectionoftheconveyorsystemalongcornersofthebale.Sincethecornersofthebalearemostlycottonandthebottomsurfaceofthebaledoesnotdirectlycontacttherollers,damagetothebagfromthebailingwireorotherhardsurfacesismitigated.Additionally,thereislowerfrictionalresistanceforbaggingthebale.Thenumerousadvantages,featuresandfunctionsofthevariousembodimentsoftheinventiondescribedhereinwillbecomereadilyapparentandbetterunderstoodinviewofthefollowingdescriptionandaccompanyingdrawings.Thefollowingdescriptionisnotintendedtolimitthescopeoftheapparatusforbaggingacottonbale,butinsteadmerelyprovidesexemplaryembodimentsforeaseofunderstanding.BriefdescriptionofthedrawingsExamplesofancottonbalebaggingapparatusaccordingtodifferentembodimentsoftheinventionwillnowbeexplainedinmoredetailwithreferencetothedrawings,wherein:DetaileddescriptionofillustrativeembodimentsoftheinventionA.DiscussionofVariousEmbodimentsAsgenerallydiscussedabove,priorartbalebaggingmachineshavecomplicateddesignsinvolvingmultiplemovingmechanicalpartsandcomplexstructuresthatrequirecarefulmaintenanceandthatarepronetomalfunction.Toovercomethisshortcoming,theembodimentsinthepresentdisclosureweredevelopedtocreateaneasytoinstallcottonbalebaggingmachinethatissimplertomanufactureefficientlyandcommerciallypractical.Forexample,asseeninFIG.1,oneembodimentofthecottonbalebaggingmachine100includesabalefeedingstation300onafirstendofthecottonbalebaggingmachine100,asealingmodule800onasecondendofthecottonbalebaggingmachine100,abalechute500,agantry700,andabalebaggingstation600betweenthefirstandsecondendsofthebalebaggingmachine100,andaconveyorsystem200thatiscoupledtothebalefeedingstation300,sealingmodule800,andbalebaggingstation600inawaysuchthattheconveyorsystem200isusedtotransferabale,e.g.,cottonbale,inalongitudinalandlinearfeeddirectionfromthebalefeedingstation300tothesealingmodule800.Thecottonbalebaggingmachine100alsohasabaseandabottomframemember105atthebaseofthebalebaggingmachine100thatrunssubstantiallylinearlyinthelongitudinaldirectiontosupportthebalefeedingstation300,thebalechute500,thesealingmodule800andtheconveyorsystem200.Oneendofthebottomframemember105ispositionednearthebalefeedingstation300,whilethesecondendispositionedneareitherthesealingmodule800ornearthebalebaggingstation600.Whenthesecondendofthebottomframemember105ispositionednearthebalebaggingstation600,thebottomframemember105furthercomprisesasecondsectionforsupportingthesealingmodule800.Thebottomframemember105hasasolidorhollowbeamand/oratleasttwolinearbarsorbeamstocreateaframethathasthelinearbarsorbeamspositionedinparalleltothelongitudinalfeeddirectionandconnectedtransverselybyfeetforsupportingthebase.Thebottomframemember105ismadefromsteel,ferrousalloys,compositematerials,orothermaterialthatcanbeusedtosupportthestationsandbaleduringthebalebaggingoperation.Additionally,thebalebaggingmachine100hasatleasttwoverticalsupports110forsupportingthegantry700betweenthefirstandsecondendsofthebalebaggingmachine100.Preferably,fourverticalsupports110areusedforsupportingthegantry700,sothatthegantry700ismovableinlongitudinal,transverse,andverticaldirectionswithrespecttothelongitudinalfeeddirection.Thefourverticalsupports110arepositionedtransverselyonoutersidesofthebottombaseframe105,whereoneendofeachofthesupports110islocatednearthebaseofthebalebaggingmachine100andthesecondendofthesupport110islocatedabovetheconveyorsystem200.Thisefficientdesignforabalebaggingmachine100usesaconveyorsystem200comprisingatleastafirstsection205,asecondsection210,athirdsection215,andagapsection220.Thefirstsection205oftheconveyorsystem200islocatedatthefirstendofthebalebaggingmachine100nearthebalefeedingstation300,whilethesecondsection210islocatedatthebalebaggingstation600afterthebalechute500,andthethirdsection215islocatednearthesealingmodule800atthesecondendofthebalebaggingmachine100.Thegapsection220islocatedbetweenthesecondsection210andthethirdsection215andhasagapdistancegreaterthanthethicknessofabagusedforbaggingthebale,e.g.,agapdistancegreaterthanatleast6inches.Theconveyorsystem200usesconventionalconveyorsknownintheart.Forexample,rollersareusedwhicharerotatablycoupledtoaframeortray.Therotatingrollerscanthenbeusedasaguidingmechanismtohelpmovethebaleinthedesireddirectionsbyhavingtherollersrotateinthetransverseandlongitudinaldirections.TherotatingrollerscanbemadefromTeflon,plastic,metal,orothermaterialthatfacilitatesthemovementofthebalealongthebalebaggingmachine100.Additionally,theconveyorsystem200canalsousebelts,chains,and/orotherdrivingmechanismstomovethebaleinthelongitudinalandtransversedirections.Thefirstsection205usestransverserotatingrollers206coupledtoaframeusingpinsorotherfasteningdevicestoallowtherollerstorotateinatransversedirectionwithrespecttothelongitudinalfeeddirection.Byhavingthetransverserotatingrollers206rotateinthetransversedirection,thebalefedthroughthebalereceiver305cancontinuetomovetransverselyontothefirstsection205oftheconveyorsystem200forthesimplestagingofthebale.FIG.2showsthatafirstgap207canbeprovidedbetweentwoormoretransverserotatingrollers206ofthefirstsection205.Thefirstgap207hasagapwidththatallowsabalepusher400tomoveinthelongitudinalfeeddirectionbetweentheatleasttwotransverserotatingrollers206,asdiscussedbelowindetail.Thetransverserotatingrollers206ofthefirstsection205canbedriventorotateinthetransversedirectionusingarollerdrive(notshown)orcanfreelyrotate.Thestagingdevice310ofthebalefeedingstation300isasidebumper311locatedontheoppositesideofthebalereceiver305acrossthefirstsection205oftheconveyorsystem200tostagethebalebeingfedfromthebalefeedingdevice315.Forexample,thesidebumper311runslinearlyinthelongitudinalfeeddirection,i.e.,hasoneendnearthefirstendofthebalebaggingmachine100andhasanotherendclosertothebalebaggingstation600.Byhavingthesidebumper311locatedontheoppositesideofthebalereceiver305,thesidebumper311isarrangedtostopthebalefedontothetransverserotatingrollers206toeasilyandsimplystagethebaleinanappropriatepositionforthelongitudinalfeedingofthebalealongthebalebaggingmachine100.Thestagingdevice310canalsoincludeaswitchoraphotoeyeorlightcurtain(notshown)todetectthepresenceofthebaleattheappropriatelocation.Whenthebaleisdetectedbytheswitchorphotoeyeorlightcurtainintheappropriateposition,theswitchorphotoeyeorlightcurtaincanbeusedtocontrolthemovementoftherollerdriveofthefirstsection206.AsseeninFIG.1,thebalepusher400hasastartpositionnearthebalefeedingstation300.Thebalepusher400hasapushingsection405,apushingsectioncarriage410,andadrivingmechanism415formovingthebalepusher400fromthebalefeedingsection305tothesecondsection210oftheconveyorsystem200andbacktothebalefeedingsection305.Thepushingsectioncarriage410couplesthepushingsection405tothedrivingmechanism415toallowthepushingofthebaleinthelongitudinalfeeddirection.Thepushingsection405ofthebalepusher400hasaplanarfacethatrunstransverselytothelongitudinalfeeddirection.Theplanarfacehasasurfacecontactareathatallowsthedistributionofforceonthepushedbale,sothatthepushedbaleisnotdamaged.Thepushingsection405andpushingsectioncarriage410aremadefromsteel,metalalloys,composites,andothermaterialthatisdesignedformovingloads.Thedrivingmechanism415movesthebalepusher400alongalineardrivetrack420coupledtothebottomframemember105linearlyinthelongitudinalfeeddirection.Thedrivingmechanism415canbedrivenbyaservogearmotor416thatdrivesarack(notshown),i.e.,agear,alongapinion(notshown)onthelineardrivetrack420.Theskilledpersonwouldappreciatethatotherdrivemechanismscouldbeusedtomovethedrivingmechanism415alongthelineardrivetrack420,suchas,chains,pulleys,orsimilardevices.Thebalechute500ispositionedafterthefirstsection205butbeforethebalebaggingstation600.Thebalechute500hasaninputend505nearthebalefeedingstation300andanoutputend510nearthebalebaggingstation600forreceivinganddischargingthebalemovedlongitudinallyalongthebalebaggingmachine100.Thebalechute500comprisesatleasttwopivotingsections,butpreferably,hasatleastfourpivotingsections515,516,517,518,mountedonachuteframe520attachedtothebottomframemember105.AsseeninFIGS.5-7,theatleastfourpivotingsections515,516,517,518arepivotallyconnectedtothechuteframe520usingactuators525,e.g.,doubleactingpneumaticcylinders,tomovebetweenatleastaclosedpositionandanopenposition.Thepositioningofthe525arecontrolledusingacontroller(notshown).Thebagretrievalassembly720comprisesthethirdservomotor707,aretrievalarm721,andabagretainingdevice722.Thebagretainingdevice722iscoupledtooneendoftheretrievalarm721closesttotheconveyorsystem200.Theretrievalarm721iscoupledtothethirdservomotor707inawaysuchthatthethirdservomotor707isusedtocontroltheverticalposition,i.e.,theZ-direction,oftheretrievalarm721indirectionstowardsandawayfromtheconveyorsystem200.Thebagretainingdevice722coupledtooneendoftheretrievalarm721hasdevices,e.g.,suctioncups,clamps,grippingfingers,thatareconfiguredtograspthebalingbagsfordisplacingthebags,i.e.,pickup,fromabagfeedpositionthroughthebalebaggingstation600tothebalechute500.Thebagretainingdevice722canalsohaveabagopeningdevice740coupledtoeitherthebagretainingdevice722orthesuctioncupsclosesttotheopenendofthebagformaintainingthebagsintheopenposition.Forexample,thedeviceformaintainingthebagsintheopenposition740canuseanozzletoinjectairintotheopenendofthebagtoinflatethebagandmaintainthebagintheopenposition.Theskilledpersonwillappreciatethatthethirdservomotor707canusevariousstructurestomovetheretrievalarm721intheverticaldirection.Forexample,theretrievalarm721canbepositionedverticallyusingarackandpiniongearstructure,pulleys,belts,chains,orotherdevicesthatallowthecontrolledpositioningoftheretrievalarm.Thesealingmodule800isasealingmoduleknownintheartthatcanusetapeoraheatingelement(830)toclosetheopenendofthebagaroundabaggedbale.Thesealingmodule800,asshowninFIGS.1-4,includesthethirdsection215oftheconveyorsystem200,aleftclosingactuator805,arightclosingactuator810,andabottomclosingactuator815.Thesealingmodule800islocatedatthesecondendofthebalebaggingmachine100afterthegapsection220ofthebalebaggingstation600.Thesealingmodule800inthisembodimentissupportedbyandattachedtothesecondsectionofthebottomframemember105ofthebalebaggingmachine100.Inthisembodiment,thebalebaggingstation300doesnotincludesidebumper311,instead,oneendofthebaletransferringsystem1300iscoupledtothebalefeedingstation300tofeedabalefromanoppositesideofthebalefeedingstation300fromthebalefeeder315.Theotherendofthebaletransferringsystem1300iscoupledtoanadjacentbaleprocessingequipmentthatisusedtopreparethebalesforsubsequentbagging,forexample,abalepressingprocess.Aftercompletionofthepressingprocess,bale1000ispositionedonthestaticrollers1320ofthetransferringconveyorsystem1310sothattheoverheadtransferdevice1330isengageablewiththebale1000tomoveandpositionthebale100transverselyintothebalefeedingstation300tobeginthebaggingprocess.Moreover,safeguardscanbeinstalledonthebalebaggingmachine100forsafetyoftheequipmentandoperators.Forexample,asafetyswitch(notshown)canbeinstalledontheconveyorsystem200thatdetectsanyobstructiontostopthebalepusher800fromadvancinginthedirectionofthelongitudinalfeeddirection.Additionally,whilethemethodsofoperationhavebeendiscussedaboveindetail,thesequenceofthestepsisnotlimitedtotheabovedescribedmethod.Infact,thesequenceofthestepscanbeperformedinanyorderasneededforthebalebaggingoperation.附录B用于包装捆包的装置和装袋这种捆包的方法包装袋围绕一捆压缩材料包装的捆包装置包括具有第一端和第二端的基座框架构件,输送系统,捆溜槽和袋取回系统。提供运输系统以通过具有用于包裹捆包的袋子的捆包槽运送捆包。止匕外,捆包装置具有袋取回系统,用于将袋从第一位置定位到第二位置到第三位置,其中在第三位置,袋的开口端围绕捆扎槽的输出端定位,当捆包由运输系统通过捆溜槽运输。交叉参考本申请要求美国临时申请2012年3月23日提交的
