PAGEPAGE137LESSONONEANINTRODUCTIONOFH.D.SHIPYARD(1)H.D.船厂的介绍(1)H.D.Shipyard,situatedontheeasternbankoftheHuangPuRiverinShanghai,isacomprehensiveenterprisespecializedinthemanufactureofocean-goingvesselsaswellasmarinedieselenginesofmediumandlowspeedwithfullcapabilityincasting,forgingandmechanicalprocessing.Twoslipways,withoneforshipsunder40,000tonnageandanotherforshipsunder70,000tonnage,andeightberthsforshipsof5,000Tdwthavebeenconstructedintheyard.Theoutfittingquay,some700metersinlength,iswellequippedwithabout3,600kindsofvariousequipments.Theshipyardisnotedforitshighcomprehensiveproductivityandfacileadaptability.
