1、Company Profiles一、基础知识 (一)概念和格式 公司简介,顾名思义,就是简明、扼要地介绍公司或企业主要情况的一种商务文体。它主要有两种格式: 篇章式和名片式。篇章式公司简介就是采用文章段落的方式,概括介绍公司的成立日期、企业规模、经营范围、产品性能、生产能力、企业声誉等方面的内容。名片式就是将公司的名称、地址、电话、传真、负责人以及经营范围逐项列出。前者内容详尽具体,信息量大;后者行文简洁明了,重点突出。(二) 公司简介的结构 目前,商业机构和企业普遍使用篇章式公司简介。这类公司简介大致包括三个部分:标题、正文和结束语。1. 标题由公司或企业名称加上“简介”构成,如:“美的企业

2、简介”(Brief Introduction to Midea)。企业名称一般由这样几部分构成:字号或商号+行业或者经营特点+组织形式,如:Harbin No.6 Pharmaceutical Factory (哈尔滨制药六厂) 2. 正文一般包括:企业背景,即如何成立、建立人、历史沿革等;企业服务内容或者产品介绍;企业员工和企业的结构介绍;企业的顾客群或者服务范围介绍;企业近期内的重大发展介绍;企业地址和联系方式。3. 结束语该部分通常是合作邀请,表达企业的诚意和希望,有时这部分可以省略。Words related to the following passage: Subsidiary 子

12、, and its global revenue reached RMB 118 billion. 二、公司简介的文体特点与翻译从文体上看,公司简介属于商贸应用文问题;从语篇类型上看,属于“信息+鼓动”类语篇,就是用语言、文字等唤起人们对企业的好感,达到促使其购买产品或服务的目的。(一)英文企业简介的文体特点与翻译 (1)用词简洁易懂 。语言精炼,逻辑性强。Ex. The factory can produce various new types of buttons in thousands of different designs for coats, suits, fashions, s

13、hirts and sweaters. 本厂可生产大衣、西装、时装、衬衣、毛衣等不同类型服装用的上千花色品种的纽扣,产品齐全、品种繁多、造型新颖。(2)多使用阿拉伯数字。Ex. The company has a fixed asset of 50 billion yuan, more than 10 million employees at home and abroad and more than 560 Guides. 该公司拥有固定资产500亿元,海内外员工1000多万人,直营店560余家。 2. 句法特点与翻译(1) 多用“with”引导介词短语Ex. With graceful e

14、nvironment and convenient transportation, there are altogether 20 sub-companies under the company with a total asset of 7 billion RMB yuan. 该公司环境优美,交通方便,下设20多家分公司,总资产达70亿人民币。(2) 多用现在分词和过去分词。 Ex. 沈阳黎服贸易有限公司是经沈阳市外经委批准成立的具有进出口经营权的法人企业。 Approved by the Foreign Economic and Trade Commission of Shenyang,
