7、摸起来像丝绸。(3) Krista, his friend, noticed him looking sad. 他的朋友克里丝塔,注意到他看上去很伤心。notice 此处用作及物动词,意为“注意到”,后面可以接名词、代词作宾语,也可以接从句,还能接现在分词或省略to的动词不定式作宾补。notice sb. /sth.注意到某人/某物He didnt notice you when you passed by.你经过时,他没有注意到你。notice that.注意到I noticed a man stealing something in the room.我注意到有人在房间里偷东西。notic
8、e sb. doing sth.注意到某人正在做某事。I noticed a man stealing something in the room.我注意到有人在房间里偷东西。notice sb. do sth. 注意到某人做了某事。I noticed him repair his car yesterday.我注意到他昨天修车了。【拓展】notice做作名词,意为“通知;注意”The notice on the wall says, “No Smoking”.墙上的通知写着“禁止吸烟”。(4)Whats wrong, Peter?彼得,怎么了?Whats wrong?意为“怎么了?”或“出了
9、什么问题?”,用来询问哪儿不舒服或哪儿出了问题,相当于“Whats the matter?”.具体指某人、某个部位或某物时还可接介词短语“with. ”。Whats wrong with your eye? 你的眼睛怎么了?Whats the matter with you? 你怎么了?(5)I just failed my English exam.我刚刚英语考试不及格fail此处用作及物动词,意为“不及格;失败”。Jenny failed English but she passed math.詹妮英语不及格,但数学及格了。【拓展】fail作为及物动词,意为“失败”。If you dont
10、 work hard, you may fail.如果你不努力工作,就有可能失败。fail to do sth. 表示“未能做某事”。He failed to work out the problem.他没能解出这道题。(6) Peter accepted the challenge.彼得接受了这个挑战。辨析:accept与receiveaccept和receive都用作及物动词,意为“收到”,但用法不同。accept: 主观上的接受、承认或赞同She accepted the mans ring.她接受了那个男子的戒指。receive: 客观上的收到,不一定愿意接受。I received t
11、he letter just now.我刚才收到了这封信。(7) She gave it to Peter and said她把奖颁给了彼得并且说give(gave; given)及物动词,意为“给”。give sth. to sb. 意为“把某物给某人”,相当于give sb. sth.。Could you please give the watch to Mr. Hu?【拓展】在give sb. sth.结构中,动词give后跟了两个宾语,我们称之为双宾语,其中指物的宾语称为直接宾语,指人的宾语称为间接宾语。(8) Its all because of your help!这都是因为你的帮
12、助!because of 意为“因为,由于”。I didnt go to the park last Sunday because of the bad weather.由于天气不好,上周日我没有去公园.辨析:because of与becausebecause of:介词短语,后接名语,代词,动名词。because: 连词。后接原因状语从句,也常用来回答why引导的特殊疑问句。Tony didnt go to school because of illness. 由于生病,托尼没有去上学。Tony didnt go to school because he was ill. 托尼因为生病没有去
13、上学。练一练:He had to retire(退休) early _ poor health.A. as a result B. because C. so D. because of解析: as a result “结果”;because “因为”;so “所以”;because of “因为”。由句意知他退休早的原因是身体状语差,故排除A、C项。because是连词,后跟从句;because of是介词短语,后跟名词、代词或动名词。因空格后是一个名词短语,故选D.Step Practice1.
