The characters are so realistic that its hard not to fall in love with all of them: Maya, “the fantastic book-worm,” Amelia, “the giantess”

Fikry, the reluctant hero who hates electronic reading devices that will “send centuries of a lively culture into what will surely be a rapid decline.”The passage of time, race issues, and the bureaucratic argument of c

16、hildrens services are all put aside in the telling of this story, not because theres anything to hide or because reality is not allowed to interfere, but because the author chooses to focus on the important stuff.
