Finite Element: Create /Node /EditSTEP 1A: Repeat previous steps to create all the following nodes:NODELocation: 2144,72,03192,0, 04288, 144, 05384, 0, 06432, 72 ,07576, 0, 0STEP 1B: Turn On the label on the screenShow LabelCreate element editChange the shape to BarClick inside the Node

Material: Create /Isotropic/ Manual Input Create the material aluminum.Create / Isotropic / Manual Input.Type in mat for the Material Name.Click on the Input Properties button to bring up the Input Option window.Enter 1.76E6 for the Elastic Modulus and 0.3 for Poisson Ratio.Click OK to

Material: Create /Isotropic/ Manual Input/Failure Create the failure limit.Click on the Input Input Properties againClick on the Constitutive Model changed to Failure button to bring up the Input Option window.Enter 1900 for the Tension Stress

8、limitEnter 1900 for the compression stress limitClick OK to return to the main material menu.Click Apply.Step 4. Element Properties: Create /1D/ Rod Create the element properties.Create / 1D / Rod.Enter rod as the Property Set Name.Click on the Input Properties button.Click on the mat in the Materia

9、l field on the bottom section of the Input Properties window.Enter 5.25 as the cross sectional area.Click OK.Select element 1:11 for the Application Region.(pick the 1D element icon)Click Add.Click Apply.Step 5. Loads/BCs: Create/ Displacement/Nodal Create the boundary condition for the model.Create

10、 / Displacement / Nodal.Enter clamp as the New Set Name.Click on the Input Data.Enter for the Translation field.Click OK.Click on Select Application Region.Select FEM as the geometry filter.Select Node 1 for the Application Region.Click Add.Click OK.Click Apply.Step 5A. 11、nt/Nodal Create the boundary condition for the model.Create / Displacement / Nodal.Enter dof456 as the New Set Name.Click on the Input Data.Enter for the Rotations field.Click OK.Click on Select Application Region.Select FEM as the geometry filter.Select Node 1:7 (all the nodes) for the Application

12、Region.Click Add.Click OK.Click Apply.Step 5B. Loads/BCs: Create/ Displacement/Nodal Create the boundary condition for the model.Create / Displacement / Nodal.Enter rightside as the New Set Name.Click on the Input Data.Enter for the Translation field.Click OK.Click on Select Application Region.Selec

13、t FEM as the geometry filter.Select Node 7 for the Application Region.Click Add.Click OK.Click Apply.Step 5C.(cont.) Loads/BCs: Create Boundary Conditions After you have completed previous steps,then you see the constraints on the model as shown below:Step 6. Loads/BCs: Create/Force /Nodal Apply dis

Loads/BCs: Create/Force /Nodal Apply distributed load to the model.Create / Force / NodalEnter vertical as the New Set Name.Click on the Input Data button.Enter in the Force field.Click OK.Click on Select Application Region button.Select FEM as the Geometry Filter.Select Node 2,4,6 for th

16、e Application Region.Click Add, and OK.Click Apply.Step 6(cont.) Loads/BCs: Create Distributed LoadYou can see the combine load value of 1985 on the screen. This load is equal to p= (1500*2 *2)Step 7. Analysis: Analyze/ Entire Model/Full Run Submit the model for analysis.Analyze / Entire Model / Ful

17、l Run.Click on the Solution Type.Select LINEAR STATIC as the Solution Type.Click OK.Click Apply.Step 8. Analysis: Attach XDB/ Result Entities/ Local Attach the XDB result file.Attach XDB / Result Entities / Local.Click on Select Result File.Select the file called w1.xdbClick OK.Click Apply.Step 8 (cont.)
