3、ulate Rossby vortices emerging in a layer of shallow water flowing zonally in a rotating paraboloidal vessel. By introducing a scaling factor, nonuniform curvilinear mesh can be mapped to a flat uniform mesh and then normal lattice Boltzmann method works. Since the mass per unit area on the two-dime

4、nsional (2D) surface varies with the thickness of the water layer, the 2D flow seems to be compressible and our compressible model is applied. Simulation solutions meet with the experimental observations qualitatively. Based on this research, quantitative solutions and many natural phenomena simulat

5、ions in planetary atmospheres, oceans, and magnetized plasma, such as the famous Jovian Giant Red Spot, the Galactic Spiral-vortex, the Gulf Stream, and the Kuroshio Current, etc, can be expected. The effects of Ni content, calcination

52、 COMPOSITE OXIDES; MANGANESE; METHANE; TPR Abstract: Ag-Mn complex oxides were prepared by a co-precipitation method and used for carbon monoxide oxidation in a stoichiometric mixture of carbon monoxide and oxygen. They were characterized by means of XRD and H-2-TPR techniques. The XRD results show

53、Ag and/or Ag2O are finely dispersed in Mn2O3. The crystallization of Mn and Ag species in Ag-Mn catalysts is inhibited for intimate mixing. From the TPR profiles of Ag-Mn complex oxides, alpha and beta reduction peaks are observed. Low content of Ag promotes the reduction of manganese oxides while f

54、urther increasing of Ag content to more than 5% inhibits the reduction. Treatment in high temperature allows TPR peaks to recover more easily. Oxidation of CO is enhanced by increasing Ag content from 0 to 5% but is inhibited by further increasing the Ag content. This is in accordance with the tempe

55、rature of reduction peaks. Ag(5%)-Mn sample exhibits high and stable activity in all catalysts, it shows no hystersis and does not decay after reaction for 36 h while retaining approximately 90% conversion of CO at 73 degreesC. 60、t is based on the fixation of iron(II) as 1-(5-bromo-2-pyridylazo)-2-naphthol-6-sulphonic acid (5-Br-PAN-S) complex on a styrene-divinylbenzene anion-exchange resins. The absorbances of resin sorbed iron(II) complex is measured directly at 765 and 850 nm. Iron(III) was determined by difference measu
