2、ylish lady in her 50s. she was different from all the other teachers because she gave me something unforgettable. Ms. ho and i became friends right in the first semester i was in that middle school. at the same time, i was having a really hard time with my subjects. since i had just transferred from
3、 a bilingual school, where i had stayed for two months after arriving in the us, my english was horrible; my average grade was below c. i almost thought it impossible to learn english. then, one day she told me she strongly believed that i was capable of controlling my life, and i would be just fine
4、. she said that she found we were much alike: both were stubborn, kind-hearted and a little bit simple-minded. she believed that i had the quality of becoming wise. she even said that she didnt have any worries about me, about my not learning english. with her encouragement, i found the strength wit
5、hin myself and began to desire to work even harder. as a result, i soon proved her right, and at the end of the semester, i got a 3.8 average grade. Today, i still keep in touch with her, and she still tells me how she believes in me. sometimes, id think back, and wonder how i could handle all those
6、 things if it wasnt for her encouragement and trust. could i be the person i am today? then, it struck me: what we need has always been trust and love of others; because these things inspire us to do our best, and to live our life to its fullest. To sum up, id like to say to all of you: let us all a

The children are taught to be honest when they are very young. At schools the students are also instructed to be honest. However, with the deve
8、lopment of soclety, we often hear complaints about dishonesty. Reports with the theme of dishonesty often appear in the media. For example, some people try to get rich and llve a comfortable life. But they do not work hard honestly, instead they cheat others. They sell something quite ordinary at a
9、very high price, clalnfing it is a priceless piece he inherited from his great father. Some peoples delaying paying back the loan can serve as another example. Some people, including some college students get loan from the hank, and promise to pay within, say, 3 years. However, they dont do that. Th
10、e dishonest people sometimes can get benefit from their behaviors. So some people assert that dishonesty can bring people benefit,while honesty only makes people suffer. Is that so? Definitely not. It is always true that honesty is the best policy. It pays to be honest. The cheater selling the treas
11、ure mentioned above will surely be disclosed and punished some day. On the contrary, if he had been honest, neither the buyer nor he himself would have suffered. The people who do not return money in time will sooner or later become notorious, and will not get the money from others again. If he had
12、acted differently, he would have earned respect and trust, meanwhile, the bank would not have suffered from loss. In summary, honesty can not only benefit others but also oneself. 14、the others and can make more friends over a long period of time. Secondly, honesty, which is the traditional virtue of the Chinese people, can make our life easier and more goodliness. Thirdly, honesty can make our society more stable. A case in point is that Singapore, a society featuring trustwort
15、hiness and integrity, has a comparatively low criminal rate. Responsibility can be understood in many ways. For the parents, they have had the responsibility for caring for and fostering their children since the birth of their baby. For teachers, both in kindergartens and colleges, they also should
16、be responsible for the study and life of their students, that is to say, teachers are the second parents of children somewhile. For us, as a friend of others, it is our responsibility to help our friends when they are in trouble or faced with difficulties. Each one has the different responsibility b
