Firstly, it analyses the theories that

5、were raised by some famous educationists. Secondly, it analyses the goals of the lead-in including the goal of arousing students interest, the goal of drawing students' attention, the goal of getting students to know some information or background about the text, the goal of materializing the te

6、achers own value. Thirdly, it analyses the methods of the lead-in. 10、SchoolChapter 1 IntroductionAs everyone knows,English is very important today.First,it is the main international langugage and the worlds most widely used language.According to the statistics in 1986,there were nearly 400 million Native English-speaking people.About 20 countries in the world see Eng

11、lish as the official language or second language,a total of 800 million people.Second,the serviceable range of English is very wide. More than 70 percent of the world's mails are written in English or using English to write the address. Now more and more people have taken notice of it.The number

12、 of the people who go to learn English has increased at a high speed. If we can speak English well,we will have more chance to succeed.So the English teaching in the classroom in our country becomes very important.Our English class has long been controled by the troditional method and teachers often

13、 talk so much to their students.Most students see knowledge as something to be transmitted rather than discovered by them.They are expected to listen quietly and write down what the teacher said on their notebooks.Since both teachers and students are concerned very much about the results of examinat

14、ion,the ability of using English frequently are ignored.Though students may have a good idea,they are unable to express themselves freely when face real communication.This may result in their lack of confidence in their communicative ability and low motivation to communicate with others in English.(

15、Yao & Luo2006)In the traditional class, the interactive format is monotonous.The most interaction is teacher-student interaction and there is little student-teacher interaction.The main body of the classroom interaction are formed by teachers and students.But when students are one part in the cl

16、ass interaction,they can be as the role of students commity,students group and studentsindividual.Thus class teacher-student interaction can be composed of a various form.But in the actual class,we mainly use the teacher-studentscommunity interaction and the teacher-studentsindividual interaction.An

17、d teacher-studentsgroup interaction,student-student interaction are serious lack.According to the survey,it found that in the 87% of class interaction,students share only 13.5% interaction.In fact,student-student interaction is the valuable human resources in the teaching and the important factor fo

18、r the successful teaching. In the class the interaction is so superficial.In the class teaching interaction,we can often hear teachers ask so many questions and students response the questions mechanically.This teaching method makes students lack of the inspiration and the deep thought for teachersq

19、uestions.In the class,the closed questions are the most common and this kind of questions accounted for 80% of the total number.In the studentsanswers for a kind of questions,there are many similar and repeated answers and it lacks of heated debate.All these phenomena reflect that most class interac

20、tion are in the shallow degree.What the teachers will say and what the questions the teachers will give and what activities the teachers will arrange are all predetermined.And students are just actors for teachersperformance.The new style of English teaching for senior middle school students in Chin

21、a requires that the teacher should arouse the studentscommunicative ability in both spoken and written mode,to cultivate the students ability of studying English independently and the ability of using English fluently. As far as I can see,favorable atmosphere in English class is conductive for study

22、.English study needs active environment rather than rigid teaching.And interaction is an important procedure in English class.So I think the study of interaction in English teaching in senior high school has significant meaning.It can reveal what teachers and students actually do and how knowledge i

23、s constructed or transmitted to students in the classroom.Interation teaching is a kind of teaching method to cultivate students thinking and inspires students wisdom.The finding can help English teachers to monitor and adjust the patterns of classroom interaction in order to create an environment t

24、hat is best suited to the needs of students in their classroom.As pointed out by many classroom-oriented researchers,it is through a better understanding of classroom interaction process that teacher can render their teaching more profitable for learners(Boulima,1999).Therefore,this study can provid

25、e language teachers with a better understanding of the communicative moves that effectively involves leaners in classroom activities and successfully transfer responsibility from the teacher to the learner.Through questionnaires and teacher-student interviews and many other research methods,the pape

26、r investigates the condition of the interaction in English teaching in senior high school and finds the problems in the class interaction.It puts forward the need of strengthening the class teacher-student interaction and communication and strives to make English teaching situation get improved.It s

27、olves some problems on interaction in English teaching in senior high school.The paper helps to establish the dominant position of the students in the class,cultivate their creative thinking,improve the overall quality and promote the harmonious development of the learning and teaching.Chapter 2 The

28、ories on Interaction in Senior High School English Teaching2.1 Definition of InteractionInteraction is a kind of action that occurs as two or more objects have an effect upon one another. The idea of a two-way effect is essential in the concept of interaction, as opposed to a one-way causal effect.

29、A closely related term is interconnectivity, which deals with the interactions of interactions within systems: combinations of many simple interactions can lead to surprising emergent phenomena. Interaction has different tailored meanings in various sciences.Classroom interaction could be referred t

30、o as a process of passing down a vital information from the professional teacher who has undergone a rigorous training to the learners in the classroom.It could be referred to all interaction that take place between the teacher and the leaner in an organize classroom.2.2 Research in Interactive Clas

31、sroom TeachingIn foreign countries,professor Palin Aqsa came from the University of Michigan put forward the concept of “interactive classroom teaching” inspired by the constructivism in the 1970s.He thought teaching should based on the stent teaching of students actively construct their own and tea

32、chers support students to construct themselves to cultivate studentslearning ability.Therefore,in the process of teaching,teachers should regard students as the teaching center.This can help students switched into the main body of information processing from stimulated receivers.In the 1980s interac

33、tive teaching theory developed.It based on the original theories.And this theory emphasized the multiple funtions and the purposes of learning languages.Also it stressed teaching should be people-oriented and class organization should be student-oriented.Teachers responsibility is to provide student

34、s with communication scenarios and situations to help students express and share their ideas and thoughts freely and creatively.The constuctivism teaching theory which rise in the 1990s thougt every learner has defferent understanding for the same thing because they have different development level

35、and personal experience.This difference constitute a kind of previous curriculum resources in the learningcommunity.These resouces can be agree and shared by all the members in the community when everyone takes participant in the communication and discussion about coples learning situation and perso

36、nal vision. From the rational approach of the study,scince the 20th century,the multi-concept and social interaction theory had an extensive and profound effect on the research and practice of interaction teaching theory.This made interaction teaching theory present a wide range of features.At the s

37、ame time,interaction teaching theory is closer to the needs of social development.As for the research orientation,foreign scholars focused on the following two aspects:2.2.1 Research abroad1)The Study About The Behavior of Teacher-students InteractionResearchers focused on various aspects,but they a

38、re all according to the characteristics of students in the class.Li Bite and White concluded that the authoritarian style of leadership led to students have more violent behavior to leaders and orther companions,resulting students in different efficiency in the situation of wether their teachers are

39、 present or not;laissez-fair type of leadership style causes students to poor performance;interactive type of leadership enable students to love each other and they have higher groupment and spontaneity.Flanders researched a lot to note that when teachers give more direct impact to the students,it w

40、ill reduce studentsparticipant.And when teachers give more indirect impact,it will increace studentsparticipant.Ashley devided interaction into teacher-center,student-center and knowledge-center according to the status of teachers,students and knowledge in the class.2)The study of Gender Differences

41、 in InteractionStudies have shown that generally boys involved more activities than girls in the classroom.Crawford and Macleod found that though boys and girls have similar answers to the question why they do not want to speak in the class,girls like to attribute the silence to their poor knowledge

42、 and they are afraid to perform their ignorance in front of companion.While boys think they dont have enough preparation for the class and they are afraid this can have a bad effect on their results. 2.2.2 Research Home In our country,interaction teaching theory was first introduced from the late198

43、0s and we started the experimental study of interactive teaching and learning.The domestic reseach on the interaction teaching are mainly seen in the study of the relationship between teachers and students and most of reseaches are talking about the interaction activities.WuKangnings research about

44、the type of class interactiong behavior and WangJiajins class interaction models are well known.In the study field,researchers understand and explain interaction from the perspective of teacher-student relation,such as the relationship between teachers and students and the relationship between stude

45、nts and students.Teacher-student interaction is the dynamic expression of teacher-student relationship. The relationship between teachers and students building,development and changing all start from teaching process.They regads relationship between teachers and students is the relationship between

46、subject and object.In addition,WangJiajin from an engineering perspective built an model of teacher-student interaction.The model was built by the system engining analysis and it regards teacher,student and teaching material as three-dimensional coordinate.At the same time,there are also many reseac

47、hers study various techniques and how to improve students writing level and so on. There are numerous research topics and papers about class interactive teaching.From the point of papers,many teachers are talking about interaction in the view of pedagogical content.ZuoBins teacher-student interactio

48、n theorytheclassroom teacher-student interaction study provided new concept which is different from the traditional view from the perspective of the heart.He though that relationship between teachers and students should be equal and symbiotic relationship.Full participation,equal exchange,corporate

53、ts AttentionOnly interaction can make students have full energy and focus on the teaching content.Seizing the opportunity to ask questions about the teaching contents.At the appropriate time,teachers can please students coming to the power to write on the blackboard and operate to attract students attention in order to tightly clamp the studentsthinking.This can help maintain the class discipline as well as ensuring a high degree of concentration of the student
