7、 will be settled by us upon receipt of your bill.8v请迅速答复为荷。v Your prompt reply will be appreciated.vYours respectfullyvXXX9II. 小结:v一、 商贸函电的文体特点v商贸函电指经济贸易活动中的各类信函、电报、电传等。其文体特征主要有:v(1) 措词简洁明了。为使表达明晰,商贸函电在措词上力求简明扼要,不太讲究修饰。(2) 用语正式庄重。正式庄重的语言常常显得诚恳、自然、有礼貌,因此常用于商贸函电中。(3) 专业术语较多。如FOB(离岸价)、CIF (到岸价)、settlem

8、ent(理赔)、L/C(信用证)、AC(承兑)等。v(4) 具有相对固定的格式。 10v商贸函电格式相对固定,大体上由以下六个部分组成:va. 信头(the heading)b. 信内地址(the inside address)c. 称呼(the salutation)d. 信文(the body)e. 结束语(the complimentary close)f. 签名(the signature)11二、汉英商贸函电的语言文体差异:v相同:英语外贸函电常使用一些古词,如hereby由此 therefore因此 thereafter据此 whereof关于那个 hereto关于这个,汉语中有对

9、等的翻译。v不同之处:英语函电的正式文体特征体现在句式上;而汉语主要体现在词汇上:兹、本、其、鉴于、根据、若等词表示正式文体。v礼貌体现不同:汉语常常通过英语中没有的“贬己尊人准则”(您、敝公司、贵厂、敬希望等)来取得和谐的效果,而英语则通过频繁使用汉字中没有的虚拟语气、时态(am looking)等的变化来实现。12三翻译技巧与方法:v.专业术语的翻译:v加强专业背景的学习和专业词汇的积累;牢记常用专业术语。 13包装方面的常用词:v散装v bulk v大包 vbale v塑料袋 vpolythene bag v纸盒 vcardboard box 14v纸板箱 vcarton v黄麻袋 vg

14、we are handling.223. 注意叙事视角和称谓问题v语用学的观点:v英汉译文的叙事人称并不一致,亦即叙事视角不一致。通常,对于汉语的第二人称叙事,英译文或采用被动语态叙事或以第三人称全知视角叙事或采用第一人称缓和法间接说明问题,令外贸交往的空间更为广阔,更加利于合作和人际交往。 23v如:v(1)贵方犯了一个非常大意的错误。vA very careless mistake was made.v(2)贵方似乎早应办完该项手续。vIt seems to us that you should have done it.v(3)贵方建议恐怕令人难以接受。vWe are afraid th
